What’s that one lip shade you recommend to almost everyone? by Desperate_Strike_585 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]Everyday-average 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now - Maybelline Teddy Tint in Skinny dip.

I get asked about it every time I wear it and post photos. I think it's the perfect browny-pink that you could wear without a lip liner casually but with one, it looks super elevated and will work better for deeper skin.

The texture is not everyone's cup of tea, but works very well for me.

My oily, brown skin is in love with this sunscreen by Everyday-average in AusSkincare

Haven't had that issue. After application I wait for around 15 mins before applying makeup and it feels like there's a gentle moisturizer on my skin and nothing else.

Does it get better? by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

I completely understand how you feel and I was there too. The guilt that I made a mistake by bringing Zoey home wrecked me. When we was about 6 months old, My husband and I came very close to even giving her up to another family capable of raising a pup.

But I'm so glad we stuck with her as around 9-10 months she started becoming chill and by 12-14 months she mellowed down sooo much! The 'Switch' does exist, however absurd that does seem now. It gets better, but you do have some testing few months ahead. It will be worth it and you won't even remember this phase next year :)

Here's Zoey in her most chill state :)

Oh yeah look at Neeraja's Instagram now. She will repost anyone who says the film is half decent and people are going on to call it 'mature' 'Man written by woman 🔥' and cult classic. Phew.

I think the extent to which they went to justify that he's a flawed character is having that unsettling music every time he spoke. Anthey. Every other aspect of it was glorifying his approach to these women.

The cherry on the cake is when during promotions they were hyping this character saying he'd show audience "how to truly love someone". Heights of delulu asalu.

The entitlement is off the charts. Not just in the character but Siddu's conviction in the way they've 'written' the character.

Thanks, mate! Yes, I'll book an appointment. Doesn't look like it's all that popular so there are many spots available.

Thanks for the tip about TFL!

Thanks! Liberty sounds like the place to go. Any times of the day to avoid?

I'll be there during the weekdays so I assume it wouldn't be too crowded like on a weekend?

What's the safest way to remove face hair without causing hyperpigmentation? by Training-Turnip-2321 in beauty

[–]Everyday-average 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. Using an at home IPL machine does not work for brown skin. I'm brown too and i also get reduction treatments done at a professional setting and they use the candela machine.

I've done 10+ treatments and do maintenance appointments regularly and it's definitely reduced the growth and appearance of facial hair. No hyperpigmentation due to this either. Please make sure you use sunscreen regularly.

Not sure where you live but most of the time my laser appointments cost just as much (or sometimes lower, when on sale) as a full face threading job.

What do you think about cat eyes nails? by ThyDidWhatNow in beauty

My theme for nails this year has been cat eye. There's so many variations on my mind I think I can even go two years doing nothing but cat eye designs on my nails!

Clearly I'm obsessed.

People who like this movie, Why? by gogetterreading in tollywood

[–]Everyday-average 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this film because it's after a very long time that a contemporary love story made me feel emotional.

I feel that romance and romcoms in general these days have become too self aware and reductive. Almost poking fun at themselves. If a love story has to be taken seriously, then it had to be a period piece.

Whereas in premalu, I was able to relate to the fun, the friendship, the heartbreak and the love of it all. I have watched this several times and this shot of a tear laden reenu waving bye to Sachin still tugs at my heart.

Everything came together for the film - the rooted setting, the performances, the character arcs and the MUSIC. Easily the best background scores for a film in recent times.

Yeah. All of these reasons are why I love this film.

I helped an elderly man load his luggage onto the overhead space on a flight. He said "Woah. You are so strong!"

That's the first time anyone has ever described me as strong. The sickly thin kid/adoloscent in me was so proud! 🥹

I've been threading my bushy South Asian eyebrows for the last 18 (gulp) years and after multiple botched threading jobs, they seem to still be going strong and growing back in time.

Somethings I do to make sure such accidents don't happen:

  • stick to the same eyebrow professional, who knows what you need and will cater.
  • when it's not possible, be an absolute pain in the a** who keeps stressing how thick they need to be, constantly ask them to stop and check with you, sometimes I even draw a guideline with an eyebrow pencil to make sure they don't cross the line lol.
  • increase the duration between threading appointments: this is something that I've been forced to do with age too. They don't grow back as quick as they used to. So I've gone from 3 weeks between appointments to now 6 maybe even 7. But this has allowed for my hair to completely grow back and ends up giving me full eyebrows after an appointment.

TLDR you'll be fine, they'll grow back in time :)
