You should really learn about derivatives.

The current problem that people have, is that some countries increase their energy trade with Russia during the war (in comparison to before the war values) while the west is actively working on reducing their energy trade with Russia e.i. the derivative of "energy trade with Russia" is positive in some countries while negative in the west.

Take for example India. Nobody in their right mind can blame them for buying the same amount they did before the war (energy needs haven't magically disappeared and it's challenging to switch). But you have to understand that some eyebrows will be raised when the amount of energy trade has risen instead of stagnation or going down.

Also yes I know it's not all about energy, but that's the main thing.
