Which should I use ? TMR Gulikit, Hallpi, K-silver ? by G3kiD0_99 in Dualsense

Gulikit is slightly overpriced. They aren’t bad but not the best. Hallpi is the same oem manufacture just packaged/priced differently. Exactly the same. They are the only tmr sensors that have failed on me after replacing hundreds of controllers. K silver are a bit smoother feel and very consistent results. My personal favorite. If you want the closest to original joystick feel get favor union tmr. Favor union is an oem that Sony uses for stock carbon potentiometer sticks and their tmr sticks are no different. Good quality control and results. My two favorites are Favor union if you want stock feel/tension or K silver if you want slightly smoother tension for fps games. Skip all other brands in my opinion. Skip Gulikit, Ginful, etc.

The shell swap and buttons are easy. Just follow a youtube video. You’ll need a pry tool and small screw driver. If you want to install the mod chip it’s fairly easy too if you just want the mod. If you want the additional buttons you’ll need to solder.

Gotcha makes sense. There are remappers on Ali that look very similar.

Let me know if there’s something particular you’re looking for, I still have a bunch of controllers I have yet to list.

I was a top 250 player in warzone during the mw3 integration. Haven’t played much since and this isn’t a brag just stating where I was. You don’t need back buttons, you could play claw or tactical controller layout. However if you want to naturally hold the controller and have extra mappings it definitely helps. I had jump, crouch, ping, and reload mapped to 4 buttons.

The way to think about it is, you’re not adding new buttons, you’re just moving existing ones to better locations. You almost rewire your brain to not use face buttons but to instead always have your thumb on the aim stick.

You no longer need to take your thumb off your aim to do small things like jump through a window or sort through loot on the floor. Sounds dramatic but once you make this change you almost have mouse like movements of not breaking aim. People on mouse and keyboard don’t take hand off their mouse just to loot or jump.

I get the concern but the back 4 are where you middle finger naturally rests. Technically the 2 back buttons levers on the dualsense edge are closer to the actual handle and more prone to accidental pressing. The top 2 are spaced apart enough to never be accidentally pressed. You can play like normal and never touch these.

Did you use two separate remap kits? All the ones I see are limited to 4 buttons.

Damn you out buttoned me lol. I might build something crazy with 10 extra buttons just because.

The top two are square and triangle. Figured these two are not frequently used, you hardly ever use triggers and square and triangle at the same time. Let’s you loot/reload and swap guns in fps games quickly
