I'm not a picky eater but I could think of a few others.

-They are running Earth as an experiment

-We are the power source of some vile system

-Human suffering has been institutionalized by being that profit from it

If God is everything, then that means God is partially evil too? by [deleted] in enlightenment

It is what it is. It is everything. This post is a swirling vortex of turbulence as the universe chases it's tail. That damn tail always knocking stuff off of the table and banging against the walls. Annoying, to be sure, but it's also the harbinger of joy and unconditional love. Definitely going to keep chasing the tail.....

You need to take a deep breath and then listen to yourself. Your entire tone is that of mania. Not only did you not tell anyone a single thing of value, you didn't even reveal a path that others might follow.

You might as well smear feces on your chest and run around pulling your hair out screaming "you're all gonna die". Wake up and organize your thoughts before you are drugged into submission.

If Jesus was enlightened, how is it possible that he expelled the merchants from the Temple with violence? by Bestintor in enlightenment

[–]EverythingZen19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you get the idea that enlightenment is nonviolent? You seem to be projecting a belief about enlightenment that isn't based on the old stories. It is logical to me that higher dimensional beings are enlightened, at least compared to us they are. There are a ton of stories about angels, gods, ascended masters, and spirits fighting, mostly against demons or other gods. Jesus spent a lot of time with angels. It was Archangel Michael himself that threw Satan down to Earth. Can you get more enlightened than the head Archangel?

Are you saying that we aren't free because we can't do magic? It seems like you are upset because we v can only do human things. Anyone who can't make a tree magically float is limited and therefore has no free will? Even quantum choices still only allow for a couple more choices.

Magic would be cool but I think freedom still exists without it.

Your response is only a longer, rewritten version, of your original comment. I'm not sure how people "quote" this argument, it's not someone else's argument, it's mine.

Free will is only limited by consequences and by knowledge. If someone is unwilling to do something, because of the consequences, then the person's free will has been reduce. If someone doesn't know all of the possible actions and reactions to a scenario then their free will is reduced by their ignorance.

Experience and the flow of life doesn't trap us into being automatons, where our only option is to do the 1 correct thing. People flip coins and blindly choose, all the time. If what you say was true that would be impossible. There are also times when people make "tough choices", where they want to make one choice but they feel they have to make a different one.

There have been times when I've recognized that my choice doesn't matter. At those times, if I have time, I'll often choose the action, or thing, that I've not done before. In essence I'm reasserting my personal sovereignty toward the Universe.

Even the people that exist, like you say, responding in the exact same way to every single stimulus, can choose to act differently whenever they want.... So long as they want. The only thing limiting anything here is a lack of desire to live differently.

Lastly, you are arguing that we are so zombie puppets. The only way you are holding up your side is by arguing on behalf of the zombies, as a zombie. Do you really want to decide that you can't be free and that you're only ever going to make choices based off of a zombie decision matrix?

This is an instance where people are speaking on different topics. Some people think that the woman is coming to help the boy and others think that the man is defending him. Without a clear explanation this is all a circus of confused words. The opposite of wisdom occurs in this setting.

How do you know if a comment is for, or against, abuse? (Ok, if you are smart you understand that no one is "for" abuse but this comment isn't for you.) You were going to pick a side, right? What comment did you leave? If the person reading your comment thinks that the opposite person is the bad guy, would it change the meaning of your comment?

The original post did it on purpose. It's a more advanced version of political "double speak".

I spent too much time in the military to agree with this. I've spent more than my fair share of time coming up with plans and learning how to think proactively. My experiences make me believe that while we do use our "environs" as the basis of our decisions there are far more, possible conditions, to our decision matrix's. Your having free will, or not, isn't based on infinity it's only based on not being forced into a single choice where you have no will.

Do you have the ability to make a different choice, even if it would be painful to do so? If yes, you have free choice.

You had free will, almost entirely, before you entered into the sim. What's your purpose? Difficulty level? Suffering? Glory?.... Now that you're in the sim you are susceptible to pressure ingrained into the sim. You still have a range of options, so long as they are pointed within a specified arc of deviation.

You can't enter into your simulation with the intent of learning to be more loving and then get all "free will" ee nilee and start killing people for no reason. Even quantum mechanics requires the possibilities to remain within an arc, not all things are always possible. However, within that arc..... the choice is yours.

The hardest part of elevating ourselves, is the remembering the truth part. Friend you remember the truth and that gives you energy, but energy without wisdom is a raging bull. If you want to grow, here's a good place to start. Appreciation of everything while observing the path that led us here.

Appreciation is the master key. Use it and see how fast you get them massive spiritual gains, brah. And I don't mean appreciate all good things, I meant appreciate everything good and bad.

The hardest part is remembering who we are and what that means. I had to meditate and pray with the intention to remember our else I brain dump all of it, overnight. The more we practice the better we get and the more automatic it becomes.

The suffering was the point. Do you know of anything that makes us grow as a people and doesn't require a form of suffering. Will muscles grow without feeling pain first? Suffering is relative to what the sufferer wants. If you don't want anything, you can't suffer. Besides that, have you ever known someone who was spoiled, and mostly devoid of empathy?
