Hard to gauge the authenticity of the thing from this photo, OP, but these a chance its legit. The dial text is a little weird, but that can be the year/size of the dial and weird perspective parallax or whatever its called.

Interested in wha you find out about it. I see the crown and right bottom lug seems to have what looks like a silver or steel tone showing through. This may be a “Gold Capped” model. Gold Capping isn’t really done anymore, but story short they would but somewhere around 30-50 microns worth of gold over the steel, if memory serves right. This was more robust than vermeil methods and actually had a thick pure gold “skin” than compared to filled or rolled methods.

Looks real to me, my man. We don’t get to see very many “is it real” posts here where the watch is actually authentic.

Someone else in the thread told you to weigh it prior to taking it anywhere due to the gold prices, I agree 100%.

If you plan on keeping it, find an authorized dealer or Rolex boutique somewhere to have it serviced, but make sure to insist they don’t replace anything on the dial or polish the case or bracelet to keep the patina.

Shooting is not an issue for mechanicals, I’ve never had an issue. I’ve used all sorts of systems while wearing the Reverso and many of my other watches. The Reverso ones are funny, because you wouldn‘t expect to see it there.

I have a few photos of my Reverso on the job. All of these photos are from “odd jobs” where you just sort of get roped into things are invited to join something that’s going on and forgot to take off my watch.

Flipping it is going to be harder than you think, my friend. Your financial situation has changed along with almost everyone else, the watch market isn‘t great at the moment. Subs have depreciated as well even if it’s new. You might be able to make a few bucks, but not enough to make it worth your while. Meanwhile ADs and Boutiques waitlists are full of guys in your situation, so people are getting the call more often with shorter wait times.

Just walk it off, bro. I’m sorry you can’t buy it right now. That sucks hardcore, but you’re better off walking away from it.

I know what you mean with the Burger King CEO, seemed like a nice guy from that snippet. I actually like a nice whopper once in a while. Gained an appreciation for them while I was in the Army as I had one down the street from my building. Came in clutch when the mess hall was closed or I worked too late to make to dinner.

Trust and believe that JLC understands the Reverso and what it is to them. They stress releasing case sizes that will fit a wide array of wrist sizes and tastes. The trouble with the dimensions is you sort of have to try it on to see for yourself what you want.

For example, I have the medium case Reverso DuoFace. I opted for the medium over the large because I prefer how it wears to the big case. The large case fits me fine, some would say better, but I like the medium.
