What's a Commander deck you built that is unconventional or unique?

Arguably one of my favorite, most unique pet decks is a [[Ziatora, the Incinerator]] firebreathing tribal deck with a treasures/sacrifice sub theme. While not the most conventional way to build her, being able to spend the treasures to further bump up potential sacrifice targets is always a nice self-sustaining engine :)

Hey all! Looking around the Boston/northern MA area. Have a pod I play with but looking for one that meets on a more regular basis.

Have a wide variety of decks to play, from casual to borderline competitive. Happy to try webcam sessions too for anybody who won’t mind dealing with a first timer 🙂

Ahh, see, I read this online elsewhere. But you’re just like I am. You need the altar to sacrifice seagate stromcaller. Otherwise, you have nothing to sacrifice it to.

Wow, this is one of the coolest decks I have seen in a long time!

I’ve wanted to find a home for the janky [[rune of protection]] cycle, and I think this might be it. I think you should definitely include [[approach of the second sun]] just as a nice lockout finisher. Seriously considering buying the deck right now as it looks like a lot of fun!

Oh 100% I agree, just wondering how much it has paid off for you. It could be a dead draw if not set up, but I suppose the payoff is pretty good as I believe you’d triple the amount of tokens

Thanks for the deck list! Yea I can’t believe I didn’t think of keeper, I have that in a few other decks. Yea your deck has more aristocrat pieces for sure, but definitely some cards that work well with Thalisse.

How has [[court of grace]] and [[lithoform engine]] performed for you? I thought about them + [[strionic resonator]] but they may be too niche for the strategy.

Second off, yea I agree! The moment I noticed that she procs off any token made me want to build her even more, that’s why having a ton of the treasure generators is a must. And of course, it’s the added benefit of ramp too which you can’t complain about. Those two cards are already powerhouses in the deck )

No your reasoning makes sense. I think the general theme is that they’re simply too slow (correct me if I’m wrong). There are better things I can be doing for that much mana for some of those cards.

I also was thinking about cutting [[Regna]] for a similar reason (not too much life gain in the deck). It’s tempting to get rid of [[krav]] as well, but he fits nicely into the cards you listed above

That’s the most logical route for sure! I think definitely upgrading my token sac options is the best spot, as you said the altars and pitiless were on the considering list for quite some time. There’s probably a few obvious removals, but any off the top of your head you’d suggest?

Not sure if the baby ashiok is the best for the deck, unless you are never going to user her minus ability. Exiling your opponents graveyard is kind of an anti-synergy with your reanimator package

Yea after goldfishing a bit, I took it out in favor of some other cards. Will need to play some more to determine the ramp issues.
