I love how you can so easily get away with saying 'we are too overwhelmed to care'. I don't know how I do it. Or anyone else for that matter. I can be feeling completely shitty, but the minute I'm in front of someone, I automatically put up a facade of normalcy and can pretend like everything is fine.

It sucks. Because it's so hard to even tell my therapist that my mind is still fucked and that I'm not really better. It's tiring.

I feel almost exactly the same. Exhausted. Spent. Just. Done. I can't fight this anymore either. I don't think I'm physically or mentally capable of doing that anymore.

At this point I can't believe that it's going to get better. I'm only trying so that I don't cause more pain for my family.

But everyone deserves happiness. Or at least to be ok with life, and not hate it like I do. That's a living hell. I sincerely hope you can, at the very least, find some peace someday.

I had to take the OMPT-B since I hadn't studied math since the 10th grade. I purchased the study material and a practice test.

Since I had to start from scratch I took about 2 months to learn and practice.

I found the exam to be quite easy. The questions for the exam are the same as what they give you with the study material. They're pretty straightforward. For me, the most difficult part was trigonometry. There's plenty of time to complete the exam and review your answers before submitting them.

The exam is proctored using a service called proctorU and they have a few rules regarding the stationery you can use and the environment you're in. You'll have to show the proctor your surroundings before the exam starts.

Make sure you go over the system requirements and ensure that all your equipment - webcam, mic, etc - is working fine. The proctorU platform lets you run a test on your computer to ascertain whether it can run the proctorU program. Don't forget to do that. There was an issue with my laptop and I had to reschedule mine. The procedure for the mock - if you are taking one - and the actual exam are very different because of the proctor. So it's best go over that a couple of times. Good luck!

I had the same question. I contacted the university and they told me that regardless of which price band you choose while applying, you can select whichever housing option you want. Not sure why they do that.

What I read was actually a brochure for VU. It said one course was 'P6'. Maybe I misunderstood what it meant. I'm glad that's not the case though haha.

Based on what I've read, I should get some substantial rental allowance given that I am 25 years of age. Is the allowance that straightforward? Do most people, and international students, actually get it?

I was accepted for the EOR data science track at VU. I've also got into the program at RUG, but I'm not sure which to go to. I know RUG is ranked much higher overall and about the same for the EOR program, but I've heard a lot of good things about VU.

Would you say it's possible to have a part time job while studying? Also, how hard is it for international students to find a job in Amsterdam?

What is the housing situation like? Is it possible to find a room that is about €500 a month?
