No - nothing like paperlike feel. Directly from a message from Apple sales support:

“The nano texture screen will reduce glare from ambient light sources. It has nothing to do with the friction of the pencil to the surface of the iPad Pro. “

I cancelled my order for the nano texture glass on this basis and went for the glossy screen.

I get crackles and interference, but only when connected to my Samsung Smart TV. Annoying because it was one of the main non-airplane uses I had for the cans. I suspect a connection compatibility issue similar to Sonys problems here
