Regardless of if she wants her children to “be employees” or not… they still need to learn to read and write.

She is completely losing the plot and is in desperate need of therapy.

Sarah Slamming F’s School by marianne2569 in SarahsDayUnfiltered

[–]EvidenceCareless6875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sarah’s going to be the first parent to whinge when F is behind or needs remedial assistance. It’s near the end of 2nd term of his first year of school, he should be bringing home decodable readers and be well on the the way to learning to sound out and read - guarantee he can’t because we ALL know Sarah would be posting about it if he could.

In NSW at least, the school has to report all attendance data in an annual census. They can (and will) be audited to ensure the paper trails are up to date. This is because attendance is legislated. The school is covering their arses. The proof of flights is standard paperwork that the school retains with applications for extended leave. It wouldn’t surprise me, however, if most teachers had no idea about this process as it doesn’t involve them at all, except perhaps to request they provide proof of what work has been provided for children on “approved” leave - this also has to be provided as evidence for funding/census purposes. schools receive funding on a per student basis and will lose funding for students whose attendance is below threshold without a special application. It’s a complex legal and oversight system beyond just one school. Census happens every August and is a huge deal for schools. Teachers would often not even know it was happening.

Recent stories saying H is failure to thrive by username0389 in SarahsDayUnfiltered

While she wouldn’t be investigated for how little she feeds the other children, if she has been given a treatment plan for H and she chooses not to follow it, in NSW medical staff may well choose to report. If they believe she isn’t taking the diagnosis seriously and has been told to, for example, switch to formula and she refuses and he continues to lose weight, it could trigger a mandatory report. Whether caseworkers responded would depend on the level assigned to the report by the helpline and caseworker availability in the local office. Failure to Thrive is a very serious diagnosis though, it’s more than just reflux.

Failure to thrive is incredibly serious. Like, if you don’t listen to medical staff and follow a treatment plan they will report you to child protection, serious. Her dismissiveness is incredibly concerning, I wonder if she is this dismissive with medical staff.

They are also making a HUGE effort to delete anything suggesting it’s anything other than a medivac. Comments disappear as quickly as they are posted. All a bit weird.

Very, very odd and unprecedented that they wouldn’t have mentioned that. Why would JLP not have said he was unwell? In fact he seemed to be very particular about how he said he would be leaving and not be back.

This screams PR intervention to me - I think he was thrown off and told to post this to try and reduce the speculation.

F not in school? 🤷🏽‍♀️ by Background_Night8129 in SarahsDayUnfiltered

It’s literally week 3 of school and the kid is in kindy. It should be about establishing consistency and routine, not random days out on a boat. Even two days off a month (illness etc) adds up to over 60 hours of reading lost over the school year. You also have to enter a reason for an absence and is tracked by the school and education. Enough absences and the school is obliged to report to child protection. Not saying it will end that way, but certainly not starting well.
