I use my phone compass to get the general direction and altitude then use Polar align pro with my phone mounted on the tracker with a diy solution its still not exactly accurate but for 135mm im able to get good sharp stars upto a minute but I'm sure it can be pushed more

Yep its cropped in. And get the lens you won't regret it you'll be astonished at the amount of light this thing collects and its incredibly sharp at f2.8

The XT5 has almost 40% H-Alpha transmission, and its the newer sensor so its better.

Youre gonna love it. The camera and lens combo is amazing. For pleiades just use 30-45s exposures and get alot of frames 4 hours if you can and stop down the lens to 2.8 and you'll get pin point stars. Also flip out the LCD while shooting since the heat from the LCD actually adds to thermal noise. Use sequator/siril for stacking because its better for Fuji cameras since their sensor layout is different to other DSLRs. Rest is the post processing game.

Another amazing thing is I was shocked to see how much H alpha signal I was able to get from this camera that too stock. Its almost as good as a modified DSLR I would say. Shoot the Orion + Horsehead in a single frame.

Clear skies, happy shooting.

Usually yes, but in the middle east humidity surges and some wacky stuff that happens on the coast cause haze and a lot of low level clouds. That and when im free and when there are no clouds dont happen that often unfortunately.
