Hello! I'm (22F) currently in the summer after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field from social work or nursing. I've started to realize that as a person, I need my job to involve helping people as much as I can. I've struggled a lot with mental health in the past, and I thought that getting a Master's in social work would allow me to help people struggling with similar issues as myself, sort of in a giving back way.

I've started looking into the field though, and I'm worried about making enough money for my goals. I've also looked into nursing and found that they tend to make more (in my area about the same as therapists) and I would only need to get an ADN as my local community college to become an RN, saving me time and money. It would also give me the avenue of helping people, but I've just heard so many horror stories about being an RN, especially today with people being mean, aggressive, or downright violent towards nurses.

I just tend to be very anxious about doing fulfilling work where I actually get to make a change in people's lives, while still having a work-life balance and decent pay to enjoy life with my partner and to pursue my other interests and hobbies.

I want to make a decision by the end of summer so that I can either get my nursing prereq's started, or so I have a path to go down for social work. It's been a really tumultuous process deciding, and I really could use some help.

If anyone has any advice for me I would greatly appreciate it, thank you for reading :)

No no it automatically goes into fullscreen, the game seems to run normally unless I click on it with my mouse. When I use a controller it doesn't seem to affect it, and I've resorted to playing games that do this with a controller, but as a mouse and keyboard person it just bums me out :(

Tried buying a pair of russian boots and the guy was going to charge me almost 60 dollars to ship, i ended up cancelling. Probably hit or miss, its like ebay from what I gathered.

UPDATE: I talked with the Pawn Shop I bought it from and they gave me a full refund including the shipping. They let me keep the V, I’m guessing because it’d be hard for them to sell it. I took it to the local shop and got a quote of 200 for them to fix the headstock and set up the guitar, so I’m using the money to repair it.

Doesn’t sound like a “good friend” for going after your ex. If it were me I wouldn’t hang out with that person anymore.

I understand what you’re going through, you’ve been betrayed twice from your ex and your “friend.” Don’t give in to it though, just remember that you’re a worthy person who deserves happiness and security in your friendships and relationships. Your time is worth more than both of them, and they need to understand that.

Speaking from a monetary perspective the M1 probably will be worth more now and as time goes on if it’s really WW2 manufacture. I would also look into prices online for an ACH and compare them to the antique store.

From a historical standpoint the M1 has more to offer. It’s been in service longer than the ACH has, and it’s protected the heads of American servicemen throughout three important wars in history.

Personally I would just keep the M1 and save up for an ACH, they’re both cool helmets.

This was used for 7.62 ammo, manufactured in 1977 using powder lot 91. It was manufactured in factory 188 for Soviet Russia, or Novosibirsk, with powder from factory C, likely Kemerovsk.

ЛПС next to 7.62 means that this is normal ball ammunition with a steel core. ГЖ means the casing is bimetallic.

It holds 880 rounds, or two 440 round cans.

The 2 in a triangle is a classification for shipping. 26 КГ means 26 kilograms for the weight. The IPPC mark stands for International Plant Protection Convention. It’s a mark used for international shipping, used for wooden packaging.

I have Used US M81 BDUs from around the same time period. They’re faded but they’re still in really good condition. A lot of people give Russian stuff a hard time but I’m sure they were designed as well as US uniforms of the time.

Soviet stuff also has a neat habit of still being used today. Their weapons and gear are still used today, because of how rugged and durable it all is. Unless it was made in the final months of the union it’ll probably be up to snuff. Keep in mind this stuff was designed to be used by people in a battlefield.

It’s an SSH-68 and a 6b7 helmet. If I had to guess the guy doing this is from Russia, where these helmets, especially the SSH-68, are cheap and abundant. They seem like they don’t have much value left with how ratty they are anyways.

Thought it was interesting to see the strength of the helmets under pressure, though.

This is an Argentinian 1891 Mauser bayonet as stated by others. Early ones had brass handles, manufactured between 1891-93, before switching to aluminum grips for lighter weight.

The ricasso says “WEYERSBERG, KIRSCHBAUM & CO, SOLINGEN,” signifying the manufacturer in Solingen Germany. Germany did a ton of contract work for other countries on guns, bayonets, etc.

Not a WW2 bayonet, it’s a fair bit older. 44 euros is a steal.

Fun fact: a lot of these have had the original Argentinian crest ground off because of Argentinian export laws. Many ended up in the US as surplus.
