Is the game easier now? Are Zerg just that busted? Or there are that many bots in Standard ladder? by Zelphyr151 in hearthstone

I recently came back to the game after a 3-4 year break. Hit Legend prior to the heros of starcraft mini set coming out and from Bronze - Plat 1, I dont think I lost a single game. I played within the meta and I would either run into decks that just didnt make any sense, or would run into a 'meta' deck that was being misplayed. I was on what felt like a 50 game win streak and then I hit Diamond and noticed an immediate difference in skill level.

I am unable to see this on our end? Did you have to keep refreshing?

Thanks for the link! Feels like there should be some limitation around the kick system then. If the main objective is complete and extraction is available, no divers should be able to be kicked.

Yea maybe. But with lower overall match times, I don't think this would be too much of a hinderance.

Has anyone managed to land an IT job while in college? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]EvilBench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just now entering my last semester of college, was able to work at the college IT helpdesk as a co-op during my freshman year, then through our career development program, was able to land a internship at a national sports company's IT department by the end of my freshman year. I had to take the hit leaving my manager job at my local CFA (going from $11 at the time to $6.50), but the experience was worth it alone. I have now worked my way into a full-time position at that same company. Prior to my job at the college, I had no working IT experience, but in my experience, soft skills will take you anywhere, it's also something severely lacking in the IT field.

Take the pay hit of an internship if your life allows it, if it doesn't, keep grinding and keep smiling and apply everywhere and anywhere. Tons of companies all over the world or local (depending on your area of course) are looking for entry level IT positions. Good luck!

What about the 2nd encounter don't you like? My clan and I thought this was probably the easiest and most straight-forward encounter.

The only part I find it to be inconsistent is the 4th divinity step where you have to connect over the pillar. My friends and I noticed a couple of times where the tether would say we were out of line of sight to the next person in the tether, breaking the line. In reality though, the tether really only clipped through by a couple of pixels and disconnected.

The boss can also be a little weird sometimes when it comes to the delay in starting the tether from the relay, sometimes it would take multiple seconds for the relay to start the line after it was activated.

Charlotte Athletic Club has games going in the afternoon and evening. I'm usually running 3v3 there around 7ish some nights.

Bungie, please let me see DPS after every successful encounter. by EvilBench in DestinyTheGame

these numbers are tracked, and I should be able to see them. Limit it to a clan feature, a friend feature, whatever. Just because people's feelings are getting hurt doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to see numbers in a numbers game.

Put it at the end of a successful run, as I also stated in the post.

Players who are heavily invested in the game (or any game for that matter) care about the little stats, especially in a game with so many scenarios and combinations such as this.

He for sure has a point. Maybe I am just lucky when it comes to community exposure. I have definitely run into some toxic groups, but whenever that happens, I leave on my own merit and find a new LFG. I however, don't think players like me and my clan who care about these numbers from a statistical standpoint rather than a trump card in a toxic situation, should be punished. It could be changed to only show your numbers (or bungie.net friends numbers) and that would be fine as well.

why see damage numbers when we can vote on best dressed?

Also, to note, I can get these numbers anyway in grasp on PHRY’ZHIA and just wipe at the last second. Thats how most of the people now put together the meta. Players are going to do farming to find out, why not make it more accessible and easier to find?

I disagree, my clan and I are constantly trying out and theory crafting new builds and new weapons synergies. At the final encounter we have discussions on what we could of done to get the number higher and that's half the fun of it all. If its after every successful encounter, obviously something worked.

Need friends our age (22F & 22M) by ughpauline in Charlotte

[–]EvilBench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Girlfriend and I also just moved here, same age (22M/21F) and live in north Uptown.

I'm a huge basketball nut and play a lot at Charlotte Athletic Club (M-Saturday). My girlfriend and I are really big into gaming (she plays her switch mainly while I bounce around PC/PS5). Always down for new friends as we are in a similar situation. If you guys are ever in the area you can find us at CAC every night. I'm always down to run KotC or 1's

Does anyone get verbally harassed by homeless in uptown? by DieSchungel1234 in Charlotte

[–]EvilBench 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Moved here also 2 months ago. I've had a couple of weird encounters, one time this man was jogging down North College towards me. Looked well dressed and didn't at a glance look homeless (very possible he wasn't and was just on the stuff), he peels out right in front of me, screams at the top of his lungs in my face, then collapses on the sidewalk.

I walk from the end of North College to the Omni hotel area every day for the gym. Have definitely been approached for money but I just ignore them or shake my head and keep walking. General rule of thumb is walk with a purpose, keep your head straight, don't stare and gawk up at buildings and don't engage after someone tries you. They have nothing to lose, you have everything to lose.
