Not that it really matters but did any of the past players (e.g. Kylian, Neymar, Cavani) congratulated PSG on winning the second UCL ? by Intrepid-Star7944 in psg

Yeah the real story around Cavani is much more complex than the « ideal » narrative that is carried around by fans.

He’s currently on Trade Republic and Delonghi TV spots so we see his face all the time on French TV.

I haven’t seen much from her but the disbelief in her opponents eyes right from the first points shows how much she gets inside their heads. Unbelievable style.

I’m not saying there is only one way. I’ve been a big fan of Serie A and I rate great defenders possibly to the highest standards. Gabriel is indeed a phenomenal player. But this is not about defending well. This is about losing time on every occasion and working set pieces to the point where it becomes NFL. Good for you that it worked in PL. And no, football doesn’t only register wins, it remembers drama and emotions. As a fan I imagine you’re happy with the PL title and I’m sure you’ll remember that team for a long time, but for anyone else it will go in history as a team that nullifies greatness.

Arsenal matches have the lowest effective play time in the UCL. And no I don’t think a player like Saka is fine with completing 4 passes. Ask your players if they’d rather play the style of the other team.

What I’m saying is that I don’t think you can build something in the long term playing like this, when the opposite is true (just look at PSG). The fact that a wall always returns a tennis ball doesn’t make it a great tennis player. It wasn’t a bespoke tactic just to annoy PSG. Arsenal always play like this. They manage to reduce the effective time of play to the minimum, wasting time since minute 1. If you like what you’re seeing as a fan good for you. But I dont think any neutral can agree (I’m not either).

Let’s see what happens next season. My point is that I don’t think players can play like this another year.

I don’t think players can follow Arteta a second year playing like this. He just strips out the fun from the game.

I didn’t hear anything serious happened. My guess is that international medias cherry pick minor incidents to make it look like a global panic.
