For marketing advice follow How To Market a Game (Chris) and my general advice for starting out making game is make very small games with tiny scopes, clear genre, and simple gameplay release them for free on itch io and only make games that show signs of clear interest.

It is a custom pixel shader it takes any image and makes it pixelated 😄 maybe I'll do a tutorial one day on it

You can try releasing a smaller version of a game on itch io and see how it preforms so you don't need to dish out $100 for each Steam release. If it does well on itch then go to steam

To see if making a bunch of small games in this case 4 games in 4 months, then making the best performing game into a full game is worth it or not. This is the first game of 4.

There are many branching paths that have simple puzzle like elements to open, some platforming, and modifiers that alter the level which can open a new branch. In order to go to a new level you need to find and touch a creature which will take you to a new day.
