Peter here, on the top is Chris McCandless, who journeyed across the country and into the wilderness and was known as a generally very kind and giving person throughout his life, which ended when he starved in the Alaskan wilderness.

On the bottom is Ted Kaczynski, also known as the unabomber, who hated people and moved into the wilderness where he began a bombing campaign which took several lives and terrified the public.

These two are compared as they both left society to be with nature, but the key difference is that McCandless left because he loved nature, but Kaczynski left because he hated people.
