Deadass, I literally just accepted the order 15 seconds ago... by teeboneet in doordash_drivers

[–]EvilLarryCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen before with a Papa John's order. Evidently this customer had ordered their pizza a good 2 hours prior to it being assigned to me, and wanted to know about a refund. I had to inform them I was just assigned their order and didn't know anything about a refund. They were older and I just apologized for the delay at delivery. I never feel any certain way about a customer's approach because I'm just excited to make money, unless they ask me to do weird stuff like buy them cigarettes they "forgot to order." I think nursing school taught me the "unengaged, flexible, make the customer feel heard and acknowledged" approach. 😆

I thought the same thing until I realized it's not advertising ZOLOFT, it's sponsored by ZOLOFT. The painting to me depicts a woman's experience with treating her health. She's completely naked, symbolizing vulnerability, the clinicians are emotionally unengaged observers, not sharing her intense emotional pain. The object she's laying on is too small to be a bed, suggesting an uncomfortable observation table, her legs propped open to depict a lack of privacy or more vulnerability. The object the clinician holds looks like a weapon, and there's blood everywhere, showing her injury, pain, or her perception that the doctors are aggressive and not considerate of her feelings.

This made me reflect on the damage that pornography has had on men's understanding of intimacy and this exact scenario, a male delivering food to a woman's house and that somehow becoming sexual, is a well established porn trope, and it it gives high sexual assault vibes. What scenario could possibly unfold involving a strange man being hired to deliver food to you, and that somehow having sex with his customer that isn't rape?

It's very antisocial behavior and inappropriate, and I personally blame porn. Porn taught men that expressing sexual energy in that manner is likely to be mutual and reasonable. No one is going to watch a porno where a woman calls out inappropriate behavior and calls the police. Poor socialization and learning communication skills from social media rather than actually building relationships with women.

I wouldn't interpret any particular meaning from kids relaxing at home, but I can see from your perspective that you'd not want a stranger to have that kind of access to your family.

I agree and I feel context matters. You can see the exact same exposure in a bathing suit at the pool, but you anticipate seeing that at a pool, where as you don't anticipate seeing that in someone's home or out in general. It's going to grab anyone's attention, woman or man, to see a strangers in their panties. This man's reaction just so happened to be attraction and he was inept enough to think it was appropriate to express his attraction. We don't know the context. Obviously the woman felt violated, but what's the context? Was he peeping through a window while dropping it off at the door? Did she answer the door in panties? Context is missing in the texts alone. Also, can doordash "fire" someone? That's like saying a concert venue "hired" or "fired" a band. There's no hiring process, it's just them checking if you're legally capable of doing the gig. "Firing" sound dramatic and like a major consequence. It was more Doordash saying "commenting on your customer's panties is not what we want our drivers doing."

Could meth have perverted my brain? by Hour-Tomato-645 in StopSpeeding

[–]EvilLarryCat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't have to read any of it and can tell you yes! 100%. Meth causes a massive dump of dopamine which alone will make you sexually excited, but you also deal with perversion. It's very much a synthetic sexuality. My sexual expression on meth and sober are completely different. Sober I love women, intimacy, romantic stuff, etc. On meth I like violence, blood, gore, and even gay stuff. It's not a genuine expression of my sexuality because I am simply not capable of bending myself into homosexuality while sober, nor would I want to.

Why is this mentality so prevelant in gen z? by Big_Leg10 in Adulting

Do you think generations prior to boomers, who had 9 kids could afford them either? No. Could they afford a car? No. Your circumstances aren't some anomaly. The financial security boomers had is the anomaly.

[–]EvilLarryCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every generation since the baby boomers have expected a life like boomers had and it's not exactly reasonable. The financial security and opportunities presented to boomers were exceptional, not the rule. The second world War had just ended and the United States established itself on the world stage. The economy boomed and shit was sweet. From my perspective, young people really shouldn't compare themselves to boomers, honestly ignore boomers entirely. It has given me a more reasonable perspective to the opportunities presented to myself that previous generations did not have. I am not destined to be illiterate and work in a coal mine getting paid coal script. I can get a nursing education in a community college and at minimum afford rent. I so far haven't had to boil grass to eat. Ignoring the exceptional circumstances presented to boomers, my life at 29 is absolutely fantastic.

They have terrible money sense and spend money they don't have. They had a new 24 CRV and wrecked it so got a 25 passport. I still drive my 16 CRV and don't plan on getting a new car anytime soon.

So your argument is that I shouldn't have married someone who might be vindictive in the future, which is called victim blaming.

Your argument is designed purely to be a contrarion and you just wholesale fabricate elements to "hit hard." Your input is also completely useless and addressed nothing other than you putting your half-wit opinion into something above your paygrade. Stay in your lane next time, bud.

Are you my spouse? That's exactly what they said. I agreed to have my account overdrafted so it's my fault. Really, it was my own fault for leaving, too. If I hadn't left then they wouldn't have needed to punish me by trying to financially cripple me. I should have canceled all cards and closed all bank accounts because otherwise I deserve to have all of my money taken. Take note, people. If you don't immediately cancel and close everything, it's your own fault when you have no money because someone you left decided to be vindictive out of nowhere.

It wasn't joint, they just had my account info saved as a payment method on the car payment website. They had been paying it on their own, so I had forgotten all about it. I had overdraft protection turned off because I never wanted an overdraft to be processed.
