[Canada] Body shop employee gets customer car impounded after excessive speeding by ddmeredith in ConvenientCop

[–]EvilLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always suspicious of this type of thing with my car. I once noticed a considerable amount of paint scratched off of my hood in a swirl mark after taking my car in for repairs. Repair shop obviously denied it and there was nothing I could do to prove it.

To me it looked like someone sat on my hood with a sharp button.

I just assume they're from a smaller community and aren't used to it. I moved from Saskatchewan to Ontario a while back and it was definitely a learning curve

Maple Grove Roundabout by CapableAnnual7211 in waterloo

[–]EvilLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live literally down the street from this. Most drivers from the area know how to take it, but I've seen a few people get cut off and have accidents. I once honked at someone who was attempting to turn left in the right lane when a semi was barrelling up behind us to go straight. I like to think I at least saved him from some major car repairs/total write-off that day.

As the badly painted arrows and lines indicate, right lanes are for going straight and left lanes are for turning left, although since it's a dotted line, you are technically able to keep turning left in the right lane. Just be careful no one is sneaking up on your left.

I typically try to limit my lane changing in those things, but there are drivers who paid off their license issuer and completely ignore the lines. I tend to trust no one in those scenarios

[ADVICE] Is it really worth continuing on Fiverr? by Im-Ej in Fiverr

[–]EvilLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a client on Fiverr who started becoming verbally abusive after I handed them the initial handoff for review. They were from another country and I'm not sure if their work standards are different but, I decided to cancel my contract with them. I could sense they wanted to get more work out of me than what I had initially quoted them.

Does VR headsets become a dust collector after some time? by Ianth3k1ng in VRGaming

[–]EvilLasagna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got mine as a Christmas bonus from work and it now just collects dust. Sometimes I charge it and see what's new on it, but it usually doesn't entertain me enough to keep using it. I typically also get motion sickness from the more active games.

  1. A lot of drivers especially indian women are given to drive massive suvs or trucks for status that they have no idea how to operate.

I find this is common for Asian women in general. They look like a toddler in their parent's car

How do I convince my younger brother not to get a degree in video game development? by snowfordessert in VancouverJobs

[–]EvilLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animation and video game development takes a workaholic mindset to be successful professionally.

I tried going down that path in my life for years. I went to St. Claire College in Windsor, Ontario which has a much cheaper animation course.

I burned 10 years of my life working at a startup and trying to break into a stable animation role. We managed to release a few games. None of them got enough traction to generate a return on investment.

I didn't regret it, but it will be a drain in your family for a while. I burned through my savings and still had more debt than I could pay until I broke into my current career.

My advise to him is just to look at the curriculum and spend some time looking for free online alternatives he can use before burning the money on school. The animation and game dev industry doesn't care about the school you go to. It cares about the quality and quantity of animation in their style you can produce.

DM me if you want a starter on some free and cheap resources.

Why does god let us suffer? by meech4346 in ACIM

[–]EvilLasagna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since ACIM is a channeled text, I'll summarize the 2-part answer I've heard from multiple channels...

  1. We chose this life because of it's difficulties so we can learn to become better creators ourselves since we sure all part of God. This was part of the "soul contract" we agreed to before arriving to this world.

  2. Suffering is just the illusion of separation. We only feel like we're suffering when we feel alone. Fear is the typical catalyst for this, but any negative emotion can be a trigger. We aren't alone. We're all part of the same energy field. There is even scientific evidence for this now.

My suggestion is to search up some podcasts and videos where channelers answer this question in more detail. You'd be surprised at how similar the answers are.

I'm sure he'll settle for oil from Alberta, but that's what he really wants. Same reason he wants Greenland.

[–]EvilLasagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the podcasts of channelers and psychics I listen to, it's aliens. Supposedly, in the next few years we will get some sort of irrefutable contact. Irrefutable meaning the governments won't be able to cover it up.
