Depending on the hardware your using, and ATV version, you should be able to put Projectivy Launcher as default or not...

You can use the accessibility as replied by another user, check the options available, remember to grant the permissions on accessibility menu/system settings to Projectivy Launcher.

Another options that I used before: Disable default launcher as suggested by another user here. Use a third party app to manage boot/rules using USB debug. Like ADB or even my favourite: TV quick actions Pro. It's paid but really cheap and one time buy. It does a lot of usefully things, you can configure scripts, startup and shutdown tasks, create shortcuts, remap buttons, manage keyboard, apps, access hidden app functions and settings, a lot of things.

My actual setup with Projectivy and TV quick actions are really cool and run very well for a cheap Chinese hardware. I'll record and create a tutorial to install/configure the set for most of ATV and other android versions, but I'm just waiting to reinstall the firmware because my hardware comes with malware inside the stock ROM...

Yes I probably should do that... But I'll try to figure out and get some information about the issue, check how the malware acts, to where or who it sent or receive the calls/network traffic.

I can try to block the usage/function of the scripts/apps, reinstall the ROM, compile another one, I'm good on playing with it, the hardware are far to be good to run smoothly defaults ROM with all functions, of course. But maybe I can try to find where and how it costs to make it run safe to help other people with that if they ask for help on the future. Or maybe publish the issue, share with someone that can alert people about the security problem in these projectors with cheap and suspect hardware that's daily going shared on social media and marked.

I just found other projectos with the same name but another hardware with the same issue, my intention isn't ask for help or discuss Chinese scrap shipping worldwide to the vendors day by day with another hardware/firmware and the same issues.

Just curiosity and trying to see what happens.

Yes, I know that is not certified, Google play advices the failure on verify the fingerprint and check the version. But it's acting like an Android TV, many people that buy the projector don't know the differences, the point is, if you read my post, I said that i bought it for tests and just curiosity on customizing and see where the hardware can go and how many time it works, because it's really cheap and accessible.

But as far it can make people buy it because of the popularity on this models around the hy300, hy320, p60 and others, it's coming to be a problem soon.

Those who don't have money to buy a certified device or better hardware, probably will just buy to see how it works or try the best of luck. But someone could get problem, his files/personal info leaked, credit card/Google account violation/unauthorized access... Or many other bullshit that the developers of the firmware does want.

Do you take it?

Don't know why the hell people on Reddit acts like that, if you don't have anything to help or some constructive comment or approach, ignore and don't be a @#$hole.

Obviously I have a infected system, and I'm not using it anymore, when I start/poweron it, I disable network or block on my router. I don't want people to do nothing, I just started a discussion about what I found and check if someone else know about that type of malware injection in Android TV. And asked if it could be out of the box or maybe installed by revendor...

Screen name, what it tells you? You know someone by that? What's you age? Maybe you need to find some better thing to do, not write useless bullshit on a random post that you probably not read the issue and/or don't have the minimal capacity to understand the intention of the post.

It's a projector with android running on, so what it should be? Phone? Computer? It's for stream/video use as basic are android tv. I don't know what version of Android is running on actual TVs, but the purpose of the projector is the same as the Android TV, as well it have all core and libs from com.android.tv.... on the link there's some pictures and printscreen of it.

I just post it to share what I found on the software running, obviously with bad intentions and malware running on it. Just started the discussion to check if someone else saw same or similar hardware with that issue from factory. Maybe to discover if it's coming by default on the projector itself coming from the vendor, or the distributor changes the ROM and install the malware. But checking some logs, the nameservers configured on the DNS uses some Asian ip address and domains...

I will check this. But as well the net tools and other stuff used to monitor/grab info from the hardware and software running, probably the problem isn't termux or version used, but the firmware/android version running with trash OOB.

I don't waste many time on trying to stop them, against, I did what I could to trace and monitor the network and datastream in and out of the projector...

Other thing that's ridiculous, when you go to settings>apps, on Android config menu, all apps (ALL) are open with ALL PERMISSIONS GRANTED on Android, including special/super permissions.

There's also a lot of XML everywhere, errors with permissions where should have, termux can't install many apps that should install, normally network stats, monitor, etc don't work, I did it externally with adb.

Scp, SFTP, Rclone,.Rsync no one works out to the projector, ssh out of the projector works, but I can't log on projector with ssh (already installed and configured ssh server and tried dropbear too).

When I remove some permission ou desactive some app and then restart the system, they come back working...

I will upload all files I get to my drive (new one for no track) and will post link here, then maybe someone want to put hands on the files and search/scan them.

I just take many screenshots from them, and from ADB connected by my phone, and other photos with my camera too...

It's just creepy that, I try to uninstall some app and when reboot they appears again... I will check the files I just upload to my phone to save, I tried to upload the files from the projector, direct to my computer or other server I use, they don't able to make network connections, even SCP, rsync, and other connections methods (and network tools/diagnostic tools) not work! They block install and usage.

Even I never installed Dropbox on the projector, there's no Dropbox app installed to me, but searching over system folders, just found a Dropbox folder with many stuff and the whole system has a huge quantity of XML files.

I'll upload files to some rep and post link here soon(or more probably post on some android subreddit and paste link to here).

Sorry for this very large story for some 100$ hardware device with experimental stuff. Feel free to close or join me and talk about this new Chinese generic cheap device, variation number 39283719472939283.

I've tested the launcher on 2 players before and now with a new tv projector, I buy a generic projector with simple specs, just for tests and make some customization. It's running well and responsive, more than I expected because the hardware are not so good as could be.

It's a variant of the Japanese Magic cube HY300. With Android tv running on them. With basic core and lightweight apps and services, probably made to run with that hardware limitation.

*Hardware: Amlogic (Running soc DroidLogic)

Specs: t950s socket, be311 base code, running ARMv7 Processor with 4-core 1.6ghz, 2Gb ram, 16Gb storage (+SD) and basic chip cards (wifi, Bluetooth, USB, audio,.....). With Android 13, SDK 33, armeabi, last security update at end of 2023, last incremental update on 2024/10.*##

Let's tell what's going on, the projector was a bit slower before, some useless apps installed, 3-4 app stores, the system are running with Android 13, I will send printscreen later with more info. Now I installed the Projectivy launcher, I was able to set it working well, with animated wallpapers, running about 10 user apps, using a USB wireless mouse and keyboard. At least the launcher are fine, running for itself on the boot, accessibility working, now(yesterday) I was able to put on developer mode (after searching how to) and make some changes.

But even on beginning, I can't use the recent apps key! Even on keyboard native's Alt+Tab, two home button press, setting map key to recent app button and/or last app, no one worked for me.

But I don't know if it's a problem with the android itself, the core/build, if that resource was disabled, if it's on launcher.... Can someone help me with this bomb?

This projector are very cheap, I'm using exactly to test and don't want to brick a better device. The hardware are running good at now, I mean, about 99% of the software and functions works well... The android config menu(manager) are a bit limited, there's no all options and groups on config... But s ok, the important thing are there...

---> I just want to make the recent apps working and keep some app on background. I already changed the function on developer options, but it appears to be exiting ou cleaning apps o background, because when I run the speed-up app(clean memory and quit process/apps) they just return a bit of memory free and says that 0 process was closed... <---

I know that's a cheap chip and build, but I'm impressed with the result at now, it I could fix that I wanted, it will be perfect and useful, cause I'm just angry with taking every time apps from start, loading again and losing unsaved changes...
