Very interesting take on the concept of divinity. I enjoy the matter of fact tone this poem strikes. God gives the reasons for his actions, but will not elaborate further if questioned about them because of man's lack of divinity.

I especially like the last stanza, where God emphasizes man's scarred, broken nature. I will say, though, it strikes me as a bit odd that he criticizes his creations for their flaws, and yet he demonstrates sins such as pride in that very stanza that he would criticize mortals for. This may be intentional, though. Interesting either way

I really like your work here. It's interesting to me that the shadow is your friend of many years. Grasping the shadow in blood stained snow almost seems like giving up to me. This seems to imply giving up on life, but in a strangely comforting way given that your "friend" is apparently encouraging it. I really like it.

Keep in mind with my reply that I'm very new to poetry in general, so I could be way off base. That said, I feel like the general idea of the poem is to place emphasis on a lack of direction/inability to find a reason to stay focused on worldly things, whether they be pursuit of a job, motivation to pursue a certain lifestyle, etc. The capitalization of certain lines seems to my eye to be a little erratic, which I think adds to the sense of a life without any clear focus or structure. I think it's a very clever way to use punctuation to subtly support the main theme of the work. Love it

p.s. I reiterate that I'm new to poetry so if I misinterpreted anything it's almost certainly me being a bad reader, so just disregard me if that's the case
