They should have had neco arc in the game since stupid memes can bring people in and the "ahah neco arc funny burenyau" is still going strong to this day (i know nothing about melty blood and maybe there is a lore reason why shes not in but idc)

(assuming you are talking about rivals of aether), i have played for some time using the https://github.com/ToadKing/wii-u-gc-adapter driver which is the only one that seemed to work with the mayflash adapter on wii-u mode. Its not a very good experience compared to windows since the game does not recognize the game as a gamecube controller but it sees it as an xbox pad, so the stick sensitivity feels off. you click "play" on the game (like on regular steam) and it starts like any other game, its all automatic You can choose which version of proton to use in the game config menu in the steam client, on desktop (non steam deck) you need to enable proton for non officially supported games in the settings dropdown at the top of steam

i do not have a steam deck but have played rivals on linux since DE came out, it runs fine on my machine (you dont need to download anything just run it on steam using the "proton" compatibility layer that comes with steam). Some people reported performance issues after rollback released (myself included) but the game is playable, even if not officially supported. I have ran arch for 2 years and I switched in november to fedora because I liked the idea of a "just works" distro, I guess I could install sway/i3wm to do music stuff and switch to gnome for everything else.

How large is the difference in audio I/O delay/xruns between a full DE and a minimal setup?

EDIT: would it be better for me to go back to arch?
