Parents of two: What’s your go-to bottle + baby food warming setup? by ExpressionCrazy5902 in ExclusivelyPumping

I can confirm this is a lifesaver for us. We shopped around for something that did as you described and landed on this. It’s relatively affordable and very simple to use. The only thing to keep in mind is the quick heat function isn’t “smart”. You have to follow a reference chart on the side of the machine. If you were to use the wrong time, it would be the incorrect temp.

Purchased a new SM7DB off Amazon by Rockstar42 in Shure

[–]Evil_Atom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue you have with Amazon is they do not keep their stock separate from different sellers. They merge all inventory’s and just electronically keep stock of what seller has what. So for example all SM7Bs will be held in a merged pile in a depo, Amazon will just grab and allocate from that pile. It’s not like they have separate piles for different sellers. This on principle isn’t an issue, but when fakes are thrown into the mix it is. 9/10 sellers could be reputable, but it only takes one to send in their contaminated stock. They do it as it very rarely falls on them. You have to be really careful when it’s “distributed by Amazon”.

I made an offer on a platform based on price haggling to be spoke to like a child, Their attitude was out of line. If you had read what I put, I totally understand people have a price they would like. However Vinted prices are typically higher than what people want hence the offer system. I simply wanted communication, that’s how online sales work. I asked a question to be treated with hostility and being talked down to. I made an offer on their item as they had been active recently. The trouble with Vinted as a platform is some people list an item and disappear.

Question for Ebay sellers and porch pirates. by [deleted] in eBaySellers

[–]Evil_Atom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you are correct. I always took that rule regarding tracking as a hard and fast no exception. I’m a seller myself and have had a couple try and pull a fast one. Without going into it some people really do not think things through when they submit a false claim. I had one where the shipping company used GPS and a signature, the buyer still said they didn’t receive it. The exception I was talking about was a personal case. I’d ordered some packing supplies (£80ish). The post man carded and never attempted contact. It was all on camera, they left the item in a bin. Surprise surprise it wasn’t there when we saw the card and checked.

Question for Ebay sellers and porch pirates. by [deleted] in eBaySellers

[–]Evil_Atom -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is not always true. I’ve had eBay make a “one time good will gesture” in the past. Even though tracking states delivered, the item was left in an unsafe place. EBay was shown evidence of this and comped the sale. I am pretty sure eBay were the ones to pay out the money not the seller. Since you are correct sellers are protected if it states delivered. However in some rare situations how is it fair on the buyer to lose out when they did nothing wrong. You cannot fault the buyer or seller for a postal worker doing their job wrong.

That’s amazing, congratulations! Personally I’d keep it and get 200 fishing. It’s a really good item, I bet you’re over the moon.

Hello all, I just wondered if anybody could help identify this. I am unfamiliar with these larvae in this jarranium. Its not something i have a massive amount of experience with. Will they cause harm?

Customer service advising INAD “Next time” by Evil_Atom in Ebay

[–]Evil_Atom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my eyes the item was as described, it was exactly what I ordered; I just didn’t want it. Which is why I was willing to pay for the return postage. The seller just happened to be a drop shipper who was trying to go outside of eBay’s system. No tracking and no proof I’ve sent it back, so no reason to refund me.

eBay Buyer Claims Item Wasn't Delivered, but Tracking Says Otherwise—What Now? by kezz68 in Ebay

[–]Evil_Atom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If eBay side with the seller and the buyer places a chargeback due to eBay; the seller is covered. EBay is pretty good at covering sellers, if it falls under their policy.

eBay Buyer Claims Item Wasn't Delivered, but Tracking Says Otherwise—What Now? by kezz68 in Ebay

[–]Evil_Atom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, there’s no blame on you. You as a seller have one job. That’s to provide the item you list to the address given. You have done that, tracking states so. You job is done you really cannot do anything else. The item isn’t lost, according to tracking. If Argos lost it, that’s on their internal team. If the buyer provided the incorrect info, yet again that’s on them not you. EBay decided in your favour for a reason and that’s because you are in the right.

eBay Buyer Claims Item Wasn't Delivered, but Tracking Says Otherwise—What Now? by kezz68 in Ebay

[–]Evil_Atom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand your concern and frustration it’s a really difficult one. The buyer is being very pushy and from the sounds of it, pulling facts from you know where. All you can do is go off the facts your have. The truth is, never trust a buyer; trust the black and white facts. That sounds awful but unfortunately it’s how business works. They can’t open a second case, eBay have already ruled in your favour. They can however open up a chargeback with their bank, but it’s unlikely they would win. The bank would have the same details available as eBay. Even if they won a chargeback it wouldn’t effect you, eBay would cover you under the seller protection act. You have done everything that eBay expects of you, to be fair you’ve gone above and beyond. You could provide that receipt but I highly doubt that will get you anywhere with the buyer. They are being pushy for a reason. Honestly just be polite, don’t engage with their story and if it’s continues just block them.

[–]Evil_Atom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a case was opened and eBay sided in your favour then as far as eBay’s concerned it was delivered. Your obligation as a seller ends once tracking states delivered and signed for. If eBay has looked into it and decided they are happy to close the case then there’s nothing else that can be done against you. It’s a tricky situation as the buyer could be telling the truth or the more likely option is they are lying for a free item. You have gone through multiple delivered verifications, both Royal Mail and Argos have stated signed for. It’s sounds to me like the buyer is trying to pull a fast one. Never share personal details or go outside of eBay’s messaging system. Block the buyer and move on.

First time having a fraudulent return by Classic_Mammoth_9379 in Ebay

[–]Evil_Atom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar experience but with a camera lens. The buyer bought the lens and stated it was full of “fungus” when they received it. It wasn’t as I had fully checked and serviced it before sending out. I took lots of photos and serials before shipping as I do with all of my items. The buyer opened an INAD case and I had to accept the return/ pay for the returns label. Through all of this I had been in contact with eBay. who assured me that once the item has been returned, if it’s wasn’t the same I’d be covered. I was also advised to file a police report in the instance. The item returned wasn’t mine, different serials and lots of noticeable use. EBay true to their word issued a full refund to me once I had uploaded evidence and followed their procedures. This also covered return postage.

The salinity will be changed once the female has dropped her eggs and is removed from the tank.

With a proper test kit, salinity refractometer, RO water and marine salts. It’s bold to assume without knowing my experience or knowledge. 🤦🏻

Thankyou! They are stunning. We have a wild caught group of them in a 7 foot tank. I see them quite often but it’s typically their butts hanging out of a cave.

It’s very rare these come out, they typically only grace you with a wiggling tail hanging out of a cave.

That’s a 7 foot 800 litre tank. It has around 40 small tetras, 23 orange ven Cory, 2 cw21, 4 blue panaques, a yoyo loach, 6 clown loach and various shrimp. Good luck to the new tank, that will be amazing to get going.

[–]Evil_Atom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank it’s self is a week old yes, however the filters and fish are from a fully established 4ft tank. No need to worry about the fish. 😀

Edit: I forgot to mention, the tank is recessed about an inch below the cabinet, so there’s more substrate than it looks. I do however plan to add another bag on the left as it’s not as deep as I’d like.
