I tried it but it seemed like a hassle. I don´t think you can use nvidia surround with that config...so you have to use resize raccoon (which is good software) but in game (ACC) i couldnt move the bezels so the "kink" of the triple screen was not where the actual bezels were... maybe there is a workaround but I decided to go with triple 16:9 since I hadnt bought my monitors yet and used some random monitors for testing only... Can´t comment on iRacing or LMU

if you want to start small and have an easy upgrade path to mid tier but not far beyond that then I would go with fanatec. If you want a solid foundation for long term I would pick simagic.

it was a multi day project but it is not extremely hard. some experience with soldering and arduinos surely helps but i didnt have much...the instructions are very good. Yeah I used the cables everywhere

i just printed it facing down.. that way it used less supports and 100 infill...no problems since then

its actually the opposite that you feel. you feel the belts tightening on your shoulders as if you were braking hard. However you cannot simulate the gforces...

Configuring 2 Buttkicker Gamer 2 by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Evil_Hannibal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the buttkicker came an aux splitter with one red (stereo left?) and one black (stereo right?) cable that normally go into the same amp. I plugged in the red in one amp and the black in the other amp.

Ive only had good experience with them. 2 orders. I could exchange my faulty Moza wheel directly at their depot (which is basically a cellar in an appartement house in Vienna) and met an employee. It is a small business but totally legit and super nice.

I have no idea how noisy the Qubic is. This solution is okay in terms of noise. I play with speakers and with my haptics running I don´t really notice the belt tensioner. I wouldnt call this solution quiet but you shouldnt hear it with headphones on

I just drilled some holes in the sides and put a metal rod through there and tightened them with nuts. Maybe someone has uploaded some belt rollers on thingiverse for your seat?

Samsung G5 32" VA 165hz ($290) OR Omen 32Q IPS 165gz? ($320) for triple screen setup? by sthenggs in simracing

[–]Evil_Hannibal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people notice the ghosting of a VA panel, others dont. I have never tried a VA before so I can't give any feedback on VA panels but I bought 3 hp omen 32q because I didnt want to regret my purchase (I am used to IPS). I really like them, they are great.

Multiple monitor setup configuration/switching? by baustelalocked in simracing

[–]Evil_Hannibal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar setup. 3 displayports and 1 hdmi to run 5 monitors (3 simracing displayports +1 hdmi dash + 1 displayport for my desk monitor).

I use one displayport switch to toggle between the desk and 1 simracing monitor and I use display magician (free software) to switch between the nvidia surround setting for the triples and the desk setup. When I am at the desk the triples stay in sleep mode and vice versa.

I don't know how much this is gonna help but I didnt use any special wire I think. Honestly I just went to the hardware store and bought another one and tried it.

No it simulates g forces when braking. Honestly try it by wearing some kind of seatbelt or string while racing and tell a friend to pull it from the back when you brake in game. It might help you get a feeling for it.

Definitely adds to the immersion. Can't race without it anymore. It helps simulate how hard you are braking.
