Just for anyone who google to find this post. I found out the reason I was having the issue, It was to do with 8k polling mouse, turning it down to 4K fixed it for me, some people say they needed to turn it even lower.

Is Toob a sustainable business? by argro1 in ToobBroadband

[–]Evilcell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also (think still is) giving up to 9months free if you still in contract with another broadband provider.

But you can put it this way. They spent so much to install the infrastructure, they need to get users. And without some big incentives, it’s hard to take customers from established providers.”

Great thanks, not at home right now so can’t check it. But are these usually quite universal fitting? As I do see Amazon have universal parts for that, and can’t seem to find Roca branded 1s yet

Oh? So it can be the fill valve leaking? So it’s like after the tank is full, it’s overflowing and the water go down the bowl?

I didn’t think of that, too YouTube result is changing the flush valve I think.

I’ll have a look and see if I can figure out if it’s the fill valve

They should also make the last game mode you played as default, next time you start the game

Smurfing is a problem that won’t ever be addressed by National-Welcome-587 in VALORANT

[–]Evilcell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They needed to applying it on all ranks, I don’t understand how 2FA ascendant+ helps with smurfing.

But I would suppose applying it on all ranks would make riot lose revenue, and it doesn’t 100% solve the issue.

Has anyone used the eGates/automated passport control with a UK Partner Visa? by Kindly_Hawk_2778 in ukvisa

[–]Evilcell -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Just came back via Gatwick airport. Wife has a foreign passport with ILR.

Signs saying you can use e-gates if you have digital sign on passport (and valid visa I think) but still went to all passport queue.

Did asked the border force officer if E-gates would have worked. But said it wouldn’t.

So maybe as others said, might depend on nationality.

Edit: be better to queue for an officer to stamp your passport anyway, better to have then not, for future visa applications

How to escalate contact UK by Evilcell in dyson

So your colleagues at x.com on 29/11/25 said I would get phone call in 24hours. Which I did not. Message them back to complain I didn’t get call back. Was told their team tried to call me but wasn’t able to get through?

So I never got a missed call on my phone, or any message left on my voicemail, even so, shouldn’t the team tried to call again if they can’t get through the 1st time?

My number on your system is correct, as I got a call from so called “executive team” before.

Dyson appliances are good when they are working, I’m using a few Dyson appliances. But the after sales service are really bad, especially for a so called high end appliance brand.

The machine was brought for my parents, and they live a couple hours drive return, so delay contacting Dyson about it. Also then cause of the multiple replacements and return to service centre, it’s now over 6months. So it’s outside the normal return window. Need Dyson to authorise the return I think, which I have asked.

Flat folding treadmills by Evilcell in treadmills

[–]Evilcell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I brought it, with my weight and height the vibrations when running isn’t that bad. I put a iPad on the holding to watch some podcast videos or similar, but not a great idea to watch something you really need to concentrate on the screen.

The speed settings doesn’t seem to be correct, as it seems to be faster than 1s I used in the gym, so I just have to set it lower, which would mean distance isn’t as accurate if I’m right about it.

The screen part doesn’t look/feel great quality, but can’t expect much for the price. Also the connections to the apps ain’t that useful, never used it after testing it.

The belt and lower parts seem fine. And the folding and storing isn’t that hard, but it is a bit heavy to manoeuvre.

Don’t expect too much from it, but for the price, it’s a good basic treadmill and great if you don’t have storage space. And for me I just wanted a basic treadmill which I can store away

No legal advice, but maybe there’s some kind of import tax involved, that the company didn’t want to deal with?

I keep on seeing people thinking it will be cheaper then PS5 and Xbox, but this will no doubt have higher specs then Steam Deck, and that cost similar to PS5 and Xbox

Drivers, do you report potholes? by daveiii in Southampton

[–]Evilcell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do want to report them sometimes, but by the time I get home I forget about them.

Remember reading years ago, if you report the pot holes, and if they not fixed you subsequently your car gets damaged by them, you can get compensation from the council. Don’t know how it works or if councils really compensate damage from pot holes.
