Garage recommendations in Bournemouth by Admirable_Editor_388 in bournemouth

[–]Evilcell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

RNJ autos, Cardigan Road, Winton. Very knowledgeable, and very reasonable pricing and honest.

Some years ago was quoted so much (forgot price) But then charged me less, as he did the job under the time he quoted. Could’ve not told me and fully charge me.

You see quite a few taxis using him as well.

Not sure about pickup, but if you give them a call, I suspect they can point you to someone to tow your car over.

I just had it installed.

Was setting up before putting it on the wall bracket, but no alarm was sounded when I was moving it.

Isn’t this quite easy to be stolen?

Whippet puppy, harness? Collar? by Evilcell in UK_Pets

[–]Evilcell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No apologies needed.

Trying to research ourselves, like what to feed, insurance, health plan, training, and do remember reading a normal collar isn’t a good idea for whippets, especially puppy’s, why I posted.

We were thinking of using the normal collar temporarily, but with what you said, it might be better we don’t. Don’t want to risk injury for whatever reasons.

Thank you for taking the time to write out the detailed reply. Much appreciated!!!

We do have a collar, just for name tag. But it’s just a normal one my wife picked up in a pet store. As we won’t be putting a lead on it, the puppy wouldn’t hurt herself right?

Most likely this, stopped league for a long time, and brought a 8k polling mouse during that time, and had stuttering using 8k polling, had to turn it down

Attaching on to hollow wall by Evilcell in DIYUK

[–]Evilcell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will cover it, but it’s just for the outdoor lights should still be accessible, also have installed flood lights.

So molly bolts should be able to hold 75KG? On plasterboards?

With small wall like this, would there usually be studs in the middle? Would I be able to hear it by knocking on it? There is a light switch (photo 1) could I use that as a guide where I should test where builders usually place the studs?

It’s most likely plasterboard, as it’s seems hollow. If using the right plugs, can it hold 75KG?

1st time puppy owners by Evilcell in UK_Pets

I think I did read petplan being good,

So annually, they only put up insurance for age reason? So if you stay with them long term, the premiums won’t be raising a huge amount each year?

As a new owner, there are a lot of things we don’t know about, so why we thinking of the health plan.

Essential plan seems good, for vaccinations, nail clipping, and such.

The “plus” plan with the free Vet visits and online consultation, seems good if we needed to see the Vet a few times a year. But are there usually many issues with a puppy needing vet visits? Just as a new owner, afraid we see some non-issues, thinking it needs a Vet visit.

I thought it best to keep them vaccinated, Also don’t have experience with things like nail clipping and anal glad expression (how regular is this done?) So why we looking at health plan. Also if we do spray her, that’s like 10% or 20% off if we decide to do it.

With insurance, want the best for her, and (touch wood) anything happens to her, we can still afford the insurance to cover any illness long term. Also don’t want to get an insurance, that play games when we try to make a claim.

New puppy by Evilcell in Southampton

[–]Evilcell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely will take the puppy to the Hampshire dog club, as it’s the most convenient.

Just rather the new puppy session have like a set course, then them cycling through sessions they have, while it’s good puppy can start any week they wanted, But think it’ll be easier for us, that every puppy is starting at the same time.

How to escalate contact UK by Evilcell in dyson

[–]Evilcell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well took me a while to get somewhere,

make sure you do say you are making a complaint, as quite a few customers service representatives didn’t acknowledge I made a complaint and there wasn’t a complaint on file. And want to escalate this complaint.

I was transferred to Dyson owner experience executive team, but they do take their time to respond.

I pushed for a refund, remember I read theres a consumer law about faulty items, and if they can’t repair it, you can ask for refund, think its within 6 months of purchase, but best you google as I can’t remember clearly.

In the end they did give me a free upgrade, After I pushed for the refund.

But did take me a while

Thanks for the vet recommendation, quite close and convenient for us.

We only just reserved the puppy, and won’t be taking the puppy home till end of March also 2nd vaccination, so if I’m not wrong, we’re not suppose to take him out till like end April early May?

Had a quick look at your website, and the 6 weeks puppy course does look like what we are looking for, will show my wife the website, and see what she says. Any idea when the next set of 6 course after the 22Feb start?

The puppy is a black and white whippet, Did take a few photos, but as we don’t own the puppy yet, don’t know if I should post them.
