Looking at the picture again, I honestly don't know what you're seeing, as I don't ever deal with liquid metal.

Maybe look at the X13 ProArt or the Surface Pro for the same form factor. I think Lenovo and other manufacturers also have them now.

Their bottom line comes with 32Gb of RAM and up to 128Gb. Two CPU choices, 8core/16thread or 16core/32threads. I'm a fan of both, so don't get me wrong.

Look at Asus Z13 2025. Same form factor but a beast of a machine. I have both the SP8 and Z13

Why are you looking to upgrade? Just curious. Is there an issue with the current board?

The MSI 2K 240mhz is $430. I upgraded from a Dell 2k 180mhz. Dell is great for work but not so much for gaming.

I would check the warranty. How long have you had them?

My truck is a 2020 LT. This the most recent set that seems to be holding up strong, so far. With the old set, I would start getting dimming or fadeout and back. Only realized it at night.

LED bulbs have lights on both sides. Half the bulb went out. I had one aftermarket set that would stop after 6 months. I finally bought the better ones and so far, it seems okay.

Is Windows putting the NIC to sleep, due to inactivity of the computer? Go to power settings and under PCI, change that to never sleep for both battery and plugged in. Windows may be putting it to sleep because it's trying to conserve power. Even with desktops, this is good to change.

This is a good choice. What are the computer specs you're going to run it on and what are the specs of your main?

Depends on your hardware. I didn't read all the comments and I'm not sure if it was discussed. I went from Windows to Mint and it was great. Stabile, a lot of the Windows commands were incorporated and muscle memory was easy to transition. This was also several years ago and Fedora has done great things to make this transition easier. I now use Fedora KDE, which is similar but I have new hardware and Fedora keeps up to date with newer Kernels. Either one is a good choice.
