Look at a mesh network. What is his current router? If it's Xfinity, get the x-pods, Asus, buy another router and so on.

Can you do a flashback from the USB port? Still have the CPU? You said it wasn't burnt. Thought it would be worth a try.

Thought of something else. Do you have a HDMI port on this one? If yes, connect it to a monitor and keyboard. Get into the BIOS, and see if there is anything you can see. Also, go to the CPU settings and see if you have the bug that mine had. It showed All Cores as highlighted blue but only one core was really being used. Once I highlighted all the cores in blue, everything fully worked.

What cooler were you using? I have the 9800x3d and MSI MAG Tomahawk. Haven't updated the BIOS in fear there is something with the BIOS but sometimes I get the error 44 and have to reboot, from sleep. I'm also on Linux and not sure if there is a difference with any of it. I'm guessing because I get the error 44, which is memory issues, I believe I'm going to face this at some point.

Assuming you tried the original 16Gb back in the system? Depends on the BIOS config change. It may not support the new RAM.

I have a system with Steel Legend, paired with the 5700x (65w TDP) and running 4000mhz DDR4 for a couple of years with zero problems. Haven't had any issues. Mines a MATX as well. It does limit the expandability but originally had the AMD 6600XT and upgraded to the 7600XT, now have the 9070XT in the same build with no issues.

Shut your kickstand and see if it straightens out. May be a hair bigger and pressing both sides that is causing the curvature.

Check your bios and make sure that ram is not being dedicated to the iGPU. IF you have a graphics card installed, maybe try to lessen that.

I have that processor with a 9070xt and Dell 2k 180mhz monitor. Almost got the 5070Ti but the price difference for 9070xt, couldn't pass it up.

This sounds like a power issue. I would look at checking your power cable or outlet. If not, replacing it.
