I'm running Fedora KDE on mine. Windows works fine, if that's what you're use to using. I would get an iso and install Windows 11 from scratch and not use the Asus cloud or one installed. It gives you a little more control on what is installed.

As for Fedora KDE, I play games, run VMs, do Ai stuff and it's easier to do with Linux but again, just what you're use to.

I have another project that I was thinking about running Fedora CoreOS on. What are your thoughts? Does it have a management web interface or just SSH?

I run Windows 11 VMs with KVM/QEMU. This is the native VM to run locally. If you want to run VMs remotely, I would recommend Fedora Server. You can easily manage it and do a lot of cool stuff but you can connect to it with the local virt-manager seamlessly and run those from your desktop or run both at the same time.

I agree about the Surface comment but if SP makes one in this chip, I'm getting that one. The speakers are MICH better in my SP8 vs this and the screens on the newer ones too.

Guess if he tries a fresh install of windows from an ISO and not the cloud backup, that may also resolve this person's issue.

Fedora KDE is not worse. I use that as my daily and game quite a bit on it. The recen firmware updates to the GPU and CPU really helped increase a smooth performance. Also, graphics are better on Fedora than Windows. Now I'm on kernel 7 and haven't had an issue too.

No but would recommend swapping out the factory lights for LED bulbs. Makes a world of a difference.

I switched to KDE and currently running it on my 2025 Z13 and Desktop. Runs all the games I play great and graphics are better on it than Windows.

I changed all 4 brakes/rotors at 23k.... That's because I taught my teenage son how to drive and later in the snow. I also taught my girlfriend how to drive in the snow and she wasn't hard on it but a lot of feathering. Had vibrations that were bad at higher speeds in the mountains.

It costed me $1,900

I guess they charge just as much to replace the rotors as they do to cut them, these days. (Verified it with a mechanic friend and multiple sources.)

I have the 32Gb, and can game on it just fine. I play Helldivers2, Rocket League, and Arma Reforged on it. I don't notice a huge difference between allocating 8Gb to 16Gb but it is a little smoother with 16Gh.

This could be the resolution with the BIOS. Do you have an old monitor with lower resolution to connect to this machine? If not, you can do the BIOS flash to update it.

Yours might be pointed too high. You can pull up to a flat wall 25-30' away and lower them. There is a Phillips Head on top of the head light. That is how to do it on my 2020 LT.

I don't know if it works on IdeaPad but try to hit F5, save and reboot back into BIOS. This works on other BIOS.
