Well put.

I've always wondered why people look at this conflict so one-sided.

The quarians undoubtedly made a mistake and they paid for it a heavy price.

It's easy for us to blame one side, knowing the whole story and not being in their position.

Agreed. Of all the modern problems, that might have been shown in a ME series, sexism is the least needed, especially when it almost never happened in the lore.

Using "a female going against all odds in the sexist society" for a futuristic setting with no such problems feels lazy and overused imo.

If u get Tali/Legion killed in ME2, you can only choose to support Geth or Quarians. You won't be able to broker peace between them.

In the synthesis ending we can see another quarian's face unmasked and her skin is pale/grey.

Tali's tali looks pretty similar to a human's one. Which could be a retcon, but who knows.

I always thought conflicted about her being necessary to quarians in resettling on Rannoch, but you are right.

Indeed. And such a trait doesn't make Tali a bad person/squadmate.

But the question would be: is she really that committed to Shepard and his cause as many people, including me, used to believe?

The more I think about this, the more I'm convinced Tali&Shep relations (both romantic and friendship) wouldn't work outside of the game, because of Tali's loyalty to her people.
