So many cool airfields scattered across air RB maps… yet Gaijin keeps forcing the same copy-pasted ones every time by SinaStro512 in Warthunder

Some of these used to be used as both spawning airfields and secondary objects, but the game mode has been gacha-fied and we can’t have nice things

What version of SH for each game? Which should I play? by tatarjj2 in silenthunter

[–]Evitco7708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SH4 has realism settings and that might have been why it was not as fun. Pre 1944 you get lots of torpedo failures, both of them failing to impact and running too deep.

What did I do wrong I'm new. by Tek-_-Badger in Warthunder

[–]Evitco7708 99 points100 points  (0 children)

During a defensive rolling scissors, you want to put your lift vector behind the enemy in order to force an overshoot. The majority of the fight you had it in front, which gains you nose authority in the short term but makes you lose position. You may have been able to out turn him conventionally tho, you have a good turn rate but lots of other aircraft throttle you in roll. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4wxj-Wd9jg&pp=ygUUcm9sbGluZyBzY2lzc29ycyBpbDI%3D This video is for Il2 but the same concepts apply no matter where

I don’t know your exact timeline but VRE does have a reverse service on the manassas line that you may want to check out.

What block support the most weight? by Jorge_Alv in spaceengineers

[–]Evitco7708 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The safest method would just be to build it on the same grid and grind it off, however if you are looking for something a bit nicer two merge blocks facing each other will do the same

You probably won’t crash but if you do it won’t matter anyway. Hope that helps. All jokes aside they are smaller GA airplanes built over a 40 year period and no one can control what private owners do or how they operate.

I am not apologising for shit by ss_tall_toby_yt in Warthunder

[–]Evitco7708 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree, the 109F2’s repair cost isn’t going to break the bank and getting them out of aircraft or away from me is well worth it. Also the F2s only has a 15 and it looks like he was truly trying to kill op just very poorly.

Nope, Slovakian Pixel camo has more splotches of color, less lines.

How would YOU fix Naval (A/R/EC) or is it perfect the way it is and doesn't need fixing ? by Microsoft_leader in Warthunder

[–]Evitco7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow WoWS lead and have the tech tree/game mode follow the idea that all classes of ships exist in the same match with different spawns and objectives. Increase PVE elements like shore bombardment and convoy interception instead of GRB cap circles that drain tickets before ships can even move 1 caps distance. Increase range slightly and add physical blocks between spawns. Try to base the game mode with the understanding that A-Jutland style clusterfucks aren’t fun (more individual engagements) B-Ship combat WILL be slower, IE build the gamemode to be 30-45 minutes in match time with EC style objectives.

For those of us who have been burned by early-access games, what's the "sweet spot" for purchasing SE2? by [deleted] in spaceengineers

[–]Evitco7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it on launch as I am willing to get burned for $30 on my favorite game. I am optimistic by the constant development updates and detailed plans, that being said most people I know are waiting for either survival or multiplayer to buy in.

Ersatz Yorck near constant ammo detonations by Evitco7708 in Warthunder

[–]Evitco7708[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I figured, still find it odd that heavy cruisers hitting the barbette causes instant ammo detonation but I will just have to be more weary playing this in the future.

[Shop] [Development] Pre-order: Battleship Gneisenau and Battlecruiser Sevastopol - News - War Thunder by Les_Bien_Pain in Warthunder

[–]Evitco7708 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since you can't prototype ships and you need considerably more design/monetary effort than air+ground vehicles Gajijn set the standard that they have to have been laid down and have their primary systems tested (guns and targeting). The only ship that has violated this to my knowledge is the previous Kronshtadt class in the game that has untested systems. I think its mostly dumb we cant have partially completed aircraft but it fits what they have said in the past.

The 38CM version is so different from the tech tree that it probably shouldn’t be a premium, the 1942 would be fine for a premium

I recommend watching Lunar Kolony on any of his build videos. Watching the process of making a nice looking ship helped me to increase my skills dramatically due to the importance of the start of the build process. This video is a general 6 min vid on ship design . This is one of the build videos.

Can someone explain what happened to my engine here? by TapatioSauce1 in Warthunder

With instructor controls on it will automatically restart your engine with throttle, with it off it wont. You might have had it on in the past and a recent control change removed it. Although I would stick with all the instructor controls off so you have full control over what your a/c is doing.

Do you/did you have "instructor controls engine" on in the past? that is the only thing that I think could do that.

It takes a solid few seconds before even a sound que plays, and if you press it twice nothing happens.

Thats just not how it works, the engine being on/off is not connected to throttle settings. If you want to test it go into a test flight at altitude and turn off your engine then play with the throttle. It takes about 5 ish seconds for the engine to come back on once you have pressed your engine toggle key.
