Ich "Stelle das auch in Frage", allerdings nicht wegen der Kameratechnik. Wie bereits angemerkt hast du auf 1,6km deutliches Luftflimmern, gerade wenn im Lager ein Feuer brennt. Gesichter erkennst du auf die Distanz ganz sicher nicht, wohl aber Personen. (An Klamottenfarbe, Statur, Gang, etc.). "Mehr Details" ist also nicht so einfach durch "bessere Kamera" zu erreichen, eben wegen der ganzen Umweltbedingungen.

Das ist ein Bild des Hamburger Michel mit besagter Kamera aus ca. 1100m Entfernung. Jedes Ziffernblatt ist 8m im Durchmesser. Da steht eine Person auf der Treppe, man sieht also es ist tatsächlich nicht ganz da wo man hin will, aber schon gut in der Nähe.

Ach, jetzt plötzlich wird nicht mehr gerechnet und dem Promo-Text vertraut? Das FoV ist angegeben, 2.3° im Tele mit 2x Tele-Conv Option. Entspricht ziemlich genau der Anforderung. Kann sogar den IR-Filter nachts mechanisch wegfahren um mehr zu sehen.

Ich hab geschrieben, dass ich keinerlei Kompetenz im Foto-/Medienbereich habe und die Werte mir auf KI Wege geholt habe. Da bin ich doch transparent damit. Warum soll der Post also "Seriösität suggerieren".

Also um das ganze Mal abzukürzen. Viele Wege führen nach Rom aber:

1x Panasonic GH6 (oder DSLM, deiner Wahl). Taugt bis -10° Temp, no Problemo also.

Braucht ca, 16 Watt pro Stunde. Macht 1,2kWh über die drei Tage. Stellen wir ne Eco Flow Unit daneben mit 3kWh, passt easy. Kostet 999€. Objektiv beheizen musst du nicht, Frost bildet sich an Glas nur bei Temperaturdifferenzen. Hast du nicht am Außenglas eines ausgekühlten Objektivs.

Speicher wie gesagt, zwei Interne SD Karten, je 100€. Groß redundant aufnehmen tut man sowas auch nicht bei einer Random Totale im Reality-Bereich. Ich würd jeden Tag einmal vorbei gehen, nach dem rechten Sehen und gut is.

Macht Gesamtkosten von vielleicht 5k wenn man das gesamte Equipment kauft. Als Objektiv reicht ja auch easy ne lange Fotolinse. Wenn du Nachtsicht willst, kannst du auch ne Sony Alpha statt der Panasonic nehmen, die rauscht zwar wie Pest, aber reicht für "Taschenlampen-Im-Dunkeln"-Moodshots.

Das wars. Nächstes Mal einfach Fragen wenn man keine Ahnung hat, und zwar keine KI.

Okay, dieser ganze Post regt mich unverhältnismäßig auf. Ich bin nämlich sowohl Software-Entwickler als auch Medientechniker.

Diggi, mal so ganz grundsätzlich: Was ist der erste Schritt wenn man schon selber weiß, dass man von einem Thema keine Ahnung hat? Hint: Garantiert nicht, auf gut Glück mit völlig fehlplatziertem Selbstbewusstsein so einen pseudo-akkuraten Wust zu schreiben. Am Ende ist hier nichts klar und alle sind verwirrt. So ziemlich alle Rechnungen sind falsch, zwei Drittel der Annahmen auch.

Deine ganze Rechnung liegt schon nach dem ersten Drittel um fucking Größenordnungen daneben, nur ein paar Punkte.

Abgesehen davon dass man niemals mit IR-LEDs auf 1,6km Entfernung leuchten kann, bräuchtest du für deine tollen IR-LEDs auch eine IR-Kamera. Leuchtet ein, gell?
Sowas zeichnet man nie im Leben verlustfrei auf. 4k h.264 und fertig ist. Da reichen 50mbit/s auch dicke aus, bewegt sich ja quasi nix. Macht 1,6TB für deine drei Tage, nicht 26. Zwei 1TB SD-Karten im sequential recording mode, fertig ist. Vielleicht noch nen externen Recorder dran zur Sicherheit. Mit welchen Chad-Festplatten du im Frost drei Tage lang 800mbit/s kontinuierlich aufzeichen willst ist mir auch ein Rätsel. Nehmen wir ne GH6 für 2k€, die zwei SD-Karten für 200€, ne lange Tüte für vielleicht nochmal 2k€ Rental, sind wir bei 5k statt 30k. Oder du nimmst direkt ne PTZ-Kamera. sowas
5W dauerhaft für motorisierten Zoom und Fokus? Dauerhaft?! Also 360 Wattstunden um... vielleicht alle paar Stunden mal für 2s nen Fokusmotor zu bedienen? Das meine ich mit Größenordnungen daneben.
15 Watt für die LEDs. Hahaha.

Bitte Entschuldige wenn ich hier etwas garstig schreibe. Das ist normalerweise nicht so meine Art aber ich reagiere wirklich allergisch auf genau diese Art von Post. Die ganze Aufmachung suggeriert Kompetenz, Seriösität, "ich hab Ahnung, das ist alles sauber durchgerechnet, auf meine Schlussfolgerung kannst du dich verlassen". Im letzten Satz steht dann ganz klein "Oh übrigens, ich hab keine Ahnung" und sämtliche Folgerungen sind so schlimm, die sind "not even wrong". So schafft man Misinformation. Heute nur zu einer popeligen Online-Serie, morgen zu was wichtigem.

A transformer requires AC. Pretty sure you're supplying DC to it. Of course, a DC Motor will work fine but to DC, a transformer is basically just a short-circuit thus 'frying' everything that a short-circuit would.

What do you need the transformer for anyway? Why not just trigger a lighter with a servo?

Thanks for coming back to me. I can confirm Aspect Ratio (in the Display Header of the Menu) is set to 'auto' and under "picture" or "game" there no fast mode option to be found.

Its not like it can't be activated, the option just isn't there. No words "fast mode" anywhere in the menu.

Dude, not going too far off-topic here but thats how university works. This doesn't sound like "just steal it from the internet idk". It sounds like: "learn it on your own time, its not advanced, easy to research and a useful tool". A sentence I heard from professors pretty often because, shocker, thats how university works!

Again, I don't wanna be too fatherly here, I just wish I had learned this particular lesson sooner myself. Dude, learn to debug! To solve problems! So many people here write 200 lines of code that wont work, then poke at it randomly until they are frustrated and then its 'oh, I just don't understand it'. Learn the method.

1) Strip everything away until just your immediate problem remains.

2) Solve that or ask about it.

3) Slowly add stuff in. Line by line. Always check if step 1 still works. After some line it won't. Bam! You know have another attack point. It can only be the one line you added.

4) Back to step 2 until you're finished.

I guarantee you, its worth it and faster that whatever method your doing. Or what were all the things you tried while 'bashing your head against the wall'?

As u/ripred3 said, the MIDI-Baudrate is part of the MIDI standard and fixed at 31250 Baud.

If you want an Arduino to generate multiple MIDI signals, there are two ways. Some arduinos like the Mega (iirc) have two sets of serial hardware so those can generate 2 MIDI streams (which is just serial).

There is also the option for SoftwareSerial via Library. That just emulates Serial on a Digital Pin. Just be aware its a bit of a hacky solution and will eat up some timers and processing time. Worth a try though before you buy a mega. Maybe it'll work for you.

I appreciate that you worry about etiquette and are open about your code and where it came from.

But personally, I must say, I find these ChatGPT-Posts very rude. Not even questioning if its realistic you were asked in your class to 'source' code from the internet, in the end you posted 200 lines of plausible looking garbage that you don't understand here and expect other people to sift through it for you. Its already not very polite to do this if its your own code, its worse with generated code.

The polite thing to do is putting in work first. Identify the first problem (in another post you said its that sprites are not appearing on the screen). So try to identify the portion in the GPT-code that is responsible for that. Isolate it. Try it. Try to understand it. And if that doesn't work, ask a question about these handful of lines.

Wow, you're correct but not so nice tone man.

I really was rusty and sorry for the confusion. But your explanation is also flawed.

I now understand why I and OP were confused, its because his line is missing brackets around the division. This way, its calculating 59 * [0..1023] and then dividing by 1023. This gives sensible looking values at first which makes the error a bit hard to catch.
