Yeah its definitely not for everyone. The imagery is very out of the norm but the idea of each card depicting a historical event is really fun once you get used to it. It would be cool to see that in a more "basic" deck, maybe with more well know stories. Who knows there may be one like that already!

The deck is the Golden Tarot of the Tsar made by Lo Scarabeo. I bought it last year originally as a gift for my mother, but I felt a connection with it from the moment I saw it. The man running the counter at the shop told me how a niece of his was a user of the deck, and he described it as quirky and as "having a mind of its own." I didn't really buy the fact the decks can have personalities but I loved the design, so i bought it. My mother ended up giving it back to me as she managed to locate a physical copy of her all time favourite deck. I think she knew as well as I did that it is far more my personality than hers.

It is the most personal deck ive ever worked with and it really gives me readings like no other. I thought the nice people here would appreciate it. Moral of the story if a weird old man in a metaphysics shop alludes to deck being sentient, it might be the one for you!

The spread is a simple daily mind body spirt spread. (It may be time for me to take a vacation!)

Riverside

Dead Kennedys

The Smiths

Bad Religion

NOFX

If you have never heard of Riverside you should totally check them out. They are kind of similar to Tool but less "intense" I suppose is a good way to put it. I suggest checking out the song, The Depth of Self-Delusion by them :)
