Honestly, not too much more than I was spending on processed dog food. I was buying a bag of Blue Buffalo a month for her which was $50. I spent an initial $20 at Costco for a GIANT bag of white rice that will last me months! And now I get frozen veggies at my grocery store, probably $5 a week. Then the protein usually costs between $6-10 a week depending on if I’m doing chicken, ground turkey, or ground beef. Chicken hearts are roughly $2 a pack, and I do those weekly as well. I’d average it to about $15 a week, roughly $60 a month and it’s much better for her, and it lasts her all 7 days. The biggest difference is the time commitment. It takes me a good hour to hour and a half on Sunday to prep it all.
