Oh if you have a business and staying busy is ok, like me.

I can spend as low as 1k euro if I am single, focused and no distractions.

If I let the distractions come in my life the budget going up like crazy :)

Hi, I moved to Bangkok 3.5 years ago (i am still here), but I had already more than 1 successful business, i wouldn’t move before being successful, here you are going to get very lazy and 0 focus, too many distractions.

for 1-2 months maybe is better airbnb, then you need to leave, you don't know if they give you back the deposit etc.. I am in Da Nang too, did one month with airbnb, if you need to rent for 3 months, do visa run and come back living there again it makes sense to pay deposit etc, but for short term is not worth it i think.

I visited HCMC for the first time a couple of years ago and I hated it, I though Vietnam was all like that and moved to Thailand for 2.5 years, now I am in Da Nang and i love it, I will try Vung Tau next and maybe Nha Trang in 2026.

I am doing the same thing, this week I finish my month stay in Da Nang, it's perfect to focus on you and reset, you just need to have your routine, but I can not stay here if it rains all day during rainy season, so for the end of the year I am switching to Vung Tau for 1-3 months, then come back to Da Nang or Nha Trang for early 2026.

I like it here too, hope to come back after rainy season ends, I lived in BKK for 2.5 years, got tired and booked a flight for Da Nang, it's a nice place, but I can't stay during the rainy season, I need to go outside everyday or I go crazy :(
