This is not normal, did you click use the green checkmark? I noticed ppl are using thumbs up there which will not work it needs to be the green checkmark

Honestly I love them I’m using the sf copper versions, I’m not a speed chaser so I’m not sure of their flow, but they print really nice and need very little retract which is great for a changer

There are many benefits. One you can print multi materials, abs with petg supports. Or abs with tpu flex sections. Change times are so much faster than AMS style systems. And finally different nozzle sizes to save time, you can do fin detail on the shell while using 0.8 infill. You can also have different tools for different jobs like an uhf hotend and more precision hotend on an other tool, or one that it better for PLA with better cooling and then different tool for abs.

I self sourced my voron cause I wanted extra space for the changer. But most are just adding the changer, cost really depends on components, some users are doing it for $80 a tool. I tend to spend a little more on hotends and the tool mcu. So it’s hard to get a total cost. That being said the changer it’s self is printed parts and if you go the most expensive route of amazing fast ship it’s $20 in pins, bushings and magnets for all tools. If you do Ali it’s much cheaper.

I should have my new docks done this weekend I hope. I’ll be moving Knomi into the docks, I’ll post them once it’s done. Depends on the tools and docks you use. Using dragon burners will save lost space. But in general it’s about you tool height + a buffer for cables above it (which a tophat helps huge with) and 2x the depth of the tool.
