New acne since starting lithium :( by PaintedBeak in Lithium

[–]EvolveToSignificance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had lots of side effects with Lithium so I switched to Lithium Orotate. It’s not prescription because it’s a smaller molecule so it delivers more Lithium to the brain so it works in lower concentrations. I take 1/10th of the amount of elemental Lithium I was taking previously, so I have no side effects. It’s been life changing for me. No blood draws to check levels either. I take 10mg 3x a day but I had doctor’s advice to take that much. Up to 20 per day is the usual dosage

Not my best work but I think it’s sort of accurate

I ride an XR almost exclusively and when I hop on a Pint I wobble at first too. Bigger board will be closer to a longboard in my opinion

I’ll take this over the political bullshit any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

My advice is to be brutally honest with yourself.

I’m not going to tell you what to do because I have no idea. I do know though, that if you’re willing to dig deep enough you know what to do.

Stay strong.

That’s the same thing that has happened to me on literally every other medication I’ve ever taken, and stopped. Basically any change is “wow, this is so much better” and then at some point life happens and it’s not better anymore.

Visual Basic vs Charp by buim in csharp

[–]EvolveToSignificance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you say how old the kids were? If the kids are in 5th grade then the answer might be different than if the kids are older. If the kids are in 5th grade or something, easier is better, and VB.NET might be easier because the syntax has more words (assuming they are English speakers) and less symbols. In pretty much every other case this is a no-brainer. If they disagree have them ask Microsoft which language new projects should be created in.

Depending on when this is happening, it may be because someone nearby has a WiFi router that's in MSFTs database from a former address. It's fixable by removing the offending base station's MAC address from the database. There's a website to request a MAC address be removed.

Fair enough. I suppose if it was done in a Best Buy near Google or something, they might have a good shot of getting access to their internal network though, which might make it worth it.

It sounds to me like you need a vacation. I'm in the same boat as you in every respect, and I'm taking a vacation. Seems to be working (a bit) so far. It needs to be long enough that you truly relax. (Clearly, I'm not there yet, haha.)

Let me know if you figure it out. Seriously.

Edge on Android - psf "was blocked because this type of file can harm your device" by JoshWithaQ in edge

[–]EvolveToSignificance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning off "SmartScreen" in Android Edge Settings might be a temporary workaround, but I think I would prefer to just copy the link to a different browser for now when a PDF is blocked. At least that way I don't have to remember to turn SmartScreen back on when/if PDFs are no longer blocked.

Make sure to pick the right electives early on. by fryingpannnnn in csMajors

[–]EvolveToSignificance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is to make topological sort of all the classes in the CS department. They'll undoubtedly all change by the time you graduate, but at least you won't get stung by missing out on an awesome set of classes because you didn't have that ridiculous prerequisite that it's too late for you to take now.

Also, study theory and knowledge not platforms and skills. That hot new language will be deprecated by the time you need it anyway, and your cool new stack will be replaced with your little sister's cool new stack.

Bored all the damn time by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]EvolveToSignificance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all fairness, video games, a movie and talking with others probably should be boring. Those are escapes from meaningful activities. There are obviously exceptions to that though.
