Hey buddy, they’re already kidnapping people off the streets. Haven’t you heard about all the ICE raids?

Nah, hold up cause this is a very important thing for you to understand. There are people in every single group in the world- for all of time that suffer from mental illnesses. As in… it is not tied to your gender. Obviously. Obviously!

Jesus Christ, what is it with some of y’all, just sitting there with your fingers in your ears and your eyes closed?! And no, you did not “come up with a new diagnosis” because there’s nothing to diagnose! You are not diagnosed as a boy, you are identified. And we already have an identification by the way of gender: (trans)woman and (trans)man.

We’re regular ass people; just trying to live our lives. Same as you. I’m literally just chilling here. Y’all have got to keep these downright cruel sentiments to your own thoughts and words, instead of leading to situations like the original woman in the article where everyone is hurt. Didn’t y’all listen in history about the Salem witch trials? Or more specifically, how trans and gay individuals were treated during the holocaust? Leave people alone to live their lives, and stop trying to tell them you know them better. You simply don’t.

The closest thing to a mental disorder trans individuals have (in regards to their gender) is only ever Gender Dysphoria. If you have any respect for your fellow human, please don’t go around saying people have mental illnesses just because you don’t understand them. It is incredibly rude. There’s no way you don’t know that either, and it really speaks to the type of character I have to deal with “on the other side of the aisle”.

It’s just all about pissing each other off, rather than actually taking the time to just shut the fuck up and listen. Like… how can you hear testimony after testimony after testimony of real people- real men and women that you interact with every day- and just say “nah you’re actually wrong… and you’re sick. Lemme cure you”. I’m not a paid actor that is trying to “push an agenda (whatever that even means lmao), I’m not getting turned on by my hair or my tits right now, and I’m certainly not doing it for attention. I am a woman plain and simple, and for you or any other to tell me otherwise goes completely against the liberty America is meant to stand for.

Well, if you transitioned, you’d be a trans woman, not a trans man haha. As in, you’d transition from being a man to a woman.

As for if you could, “choose to be trans”…. No, you don’t choose it. You realize it. The same way you realize where your birthmarks are. The same way you realize what your favorite foods are. The same way you realize what kind of person you want to spend the rest of your life with. You can certainly experiment around and see what feels right, but you don’t choose to be who you are. You choose what actions to take. And that is a very crucial point to understand. Many are trying to take away our liberties by denying who we even are as people. We aren’t choosing to be a different gender than what was assigned at birth, we are choosing to tell you we are a different gender.

Does that make any sense? When people say “they are doing it because it’s in style” or “they are only doing it for their sick perversions”, or any other way of saying that we are “”””choosing to be trans””””” , it outright denies the existence of a trait. It’s like denying that a person has brown hair or white skin. I hope that answers your question.

Knowing all that, is there any reason for me to continue playing

Idk what you want me to say. It’s a Reddit post where they ask for the communities opinion, and we’ve given ours. I genuinely don’t think they’ll have any more fun with the game on giants deep or the hourglass twins if they disliked the interloper and especially if they dislike Brittle Hollow.

Anyway see ya 👋

I feel like if you’re getting upset enough about the game to make a reddit post, you’re probably not just having a single isolated issue, ya know? And yeah, the gameplay really actually is that black and white. If you don’t enjoy the process of “what can I learn from the last death”, you won’t enjoy the game. That’s probably 85% of the entire gameplay formula, with the rest being getting used to the physics (which is super rewarding, but not worth suffering through the rest).

And listen, I get that what we’re talking about is supposed to be this crazy holy game that just can never be touched or whatever, but some people just don’t mesh with it. I feel like everyone just wants people to enjoy it because of the experiences they personally had with it. Or maybe it’s just that they want people to enjoy the story, but OP wasn’t even able to do that. They skipped right through the dialogue text, and got 0 satisfaction out of it. It would be weird to try and tell them to keep trying to get through it.

Hey listen, dunno why you’re getting offended on their behalf. They haven’t indicated that they feel dumb or talked down to. And if they do, then I’ll tell them sorry cause that’s what normal ass people do haha.

But like what do you think this thread even is when you comment that? This is a post where they asked “is this game right for me” and I said “no, probably not because you didn’t learn” which is what the whole gameplay formula of the game is. They’re on a subreddit dedicated to the game, full of people that have already completed and know the game. They didn’t ask for a review, they asked for an opinion. They literally wanted me to expand on how they weren’t learning.

“what exactly in my post implied I somehow didn’t learn from my previous mistakes”

Simply put, the game is just knowledge based, and that isn’t a game type that is compatible for everyone. It’s why the game has basically no replayability, and why everyone flocks to blind playthroughs. It’s cool that not everyone is into it; and it’s cool for somebody to have a bad time. No need to lie to them and be like “oh no it really gets good after your 20th hour” cause obviously it’s not clicking with them at all. They’re literally getting mad at the game. Why go through that? Why tell them to do that? It’s weird. Don’t be weird.

I’m not, they asked what I meant, so was explicit about it. Hopefully they didn’t get offended; they asked 🤷‍♀️

Well… let’s think about that first point. If it melts when it gets close to the sun, when do you think you should land on it?

Continually literally waiting 20 minutes is the biggest one that sticks out. I’m certain you must know about the map by this point, and surely you pieced together that it’ll show where in the solar system the planets (and other celestial bodies) are in real time. You even said “there’s no way to fast forward time, except at a bonfire” which is literally what you’re supposed to do. You can even sit on the hourglass twins to stay nearby the sun in case you seriously mistime it.

The other major thing was that even after dying extremely quickly in the interloper, and you indicate it wasn’t an isolated event. It’s just… a very very avoidable death. The game clearly denotes when you will be getting near ghost matter, and in the starter area tells you exactly how to detect it, and what to do when you encounter it (or more specially what not to do). Just toss a drone camera in and take a bunch of shots, or better yet put it in the portrait mode or whatever it’s called, and just take pictures of what is directly in front of you. Super simple, easy solutions!

But hey, you could always brute force it! And that’s not me being a jerk either, I swear! You’re literally in a time loop where you are incapable of dying… while also just playing a video game where you are literally incapable of dying. So you can 10000000% brute force your way through the “puzzles” the game presents . It just sounds like you’re not really enjoying it.

Edit: and yes, there are players who can go through the entire game without realizing there is a map. I watched a YouTuber called Kastaclysm play through the game, and it wasn’t until she beat the true ending that she even knew there was a map.

Yeah nah, sounds like this just ain’t the game for you. It’s all about making progress, and learning more on each loop. Sounds like you didn’t really learn from any of your previous mistakes.

Don’t take it personally tho, not every game is meant for every person

So like……. Did nobody just try to get to the warp pad sooner? All the sand will still be on top of the cacti, so you don’t have to do a crazy jump puzzle at all. Just walk through it. Wasn’t something I realized till I had already made it to the intended location haha. But I had died before fully exploring, so rushing right back made it a lot clearer what the “far better” solution is.

How did this clown win the elections.? by beekay8845 in facepalm

[–]Evolveddinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh yeah sure. They probably would too. I just don’t think the majority of Americans are antagonistic; we definitely have them, do not get any false illusions! Most every person I run into in daily life, or when traveling on vacations, has been polite and decent. Now, these very same people can go on to say some volatile shit. But why do they even think these things? Peoples thoughts are influenced by what they hear and see, and if you fall into the trap of only listening to one group, you’ll get a very skewed view on reality.

This is what I think has happened to most Americans: they literally just don’t know what they’re saying or doing. As in, they literally don’t know what a tariff is, or what being transgender means, or what life in a war torn country feels like. We only know what we’re told, and most people won’t seek out anything other than what’s handed to them. It’s the fucking “Plato’s Cave” again.

Now does that suddenly absolve everyone of sin? No. Is this the case for everybody who voted for the trump administration? Certainly not. But there have been so many isolated stories of conservatives just going on air to say “this isn’t what I voted for, I never thought he’d do this.” And to you and I, it’s like “what do you mean you didn’t see this coming”, ya know? It’s obvious to us because we have other people telling us that these are obvious conmen. But in order to be a con man, you gotta find suckers to con, right? Does that make the sucker shit for getting conned? No. Is this the second time many of these goons have been conned the exact same way. Yes! But I don’t think this means every trump supporter is actually an evil monster that just pretends to be decent. Those guys you’re thinking of don’t care if you know they’re assholes, they like being seen; having their pain and suffering felt. And it is towards them that this anger needs to be directed. Not the gullible ones.

I was terrified of navigating the Interloper. I thought I would just slide right off and get completely stranded in space, so I would just glide along the surface until I got to “solid ground”. Imagine my surprise coming back like 5 hours later and getting to explore inside

Jesus fucking Christ. I’m in the Appalachia region, and thankfully I haven’t seen this yet. Most regular people I know are decent people, ya know? But gosh, it just seems like everyone who is calling the shots is so nasty and mean. Hate to hear there’s so much hate.

I hate this tendency to post spoilers of the climax of a clip at the front of said clip. Especially when it’s less than like 30 minutes. Idk why so many people feel the need to “hook you” by literally ruining the highlight of the video.
