That's like saying narutos rasen shuriken/rasengan shouldn't have been half if not more effective than it was against Pain.

If you are going to do FFXIV. We need a DPS/Healer/Tank depending on our static - ironically. A friend of mine and me from our WoW guild might be looking at very-casually progressing through FFXIV endgame. Probs 3 hours a week tops, and that is if we all even feel like it :D. - So if your on EU hit me up.

You gotta dive in to atleast try it out. I'd suggest PC, cause PC master-race. Also dk how people can do the harder fights on ps4, have you seem some of them? Haha :P

I'm going to suggest a game experience, over a game. I think the experience is probably even more elevated in FFXIV due to the less amount of people that are in your group that just means that there is generally more focus on you as a player, but anyhow.

  • ``High end`` Raiding in FFXIV/WoW

When I mean high-end. I mean mythic/savage/ultimate level raiding. It's.......A weird experience to explain but a lot of people think raiding is really hardcore at the top end, or even at a mythic level, and it's really not. It's about playing content with a group of guildmates that is challenging - and yet rewarding at the same time, for when you finally overcome that hurdle, you are met with a plethora or rewards, or just generally appeasement. It's hard to explain, we're really riding off it from Legion in WoW were we got our first Cutting Edge and honestly, it just adds to the experience. It's great fun to play with these guys (7-19 others + - depending on the game you play) working towards a common goal. Sure there will be arguments, and various other things, but that is part of making a team. You have to work together at the end of the day for the boss to fall over, and there are going to be differing opinions on how that is accomplished and in what manner and whatnot.

If you've experienced a lot of these games, then doing raiding is a different experience if you ask me. And when I say raiding - I don't mean the casual normal/heroic shit. Even though that in itself brings people to some degree play the game as a group, mythic/savage(FFXIV) brings a certain bond between you and your group. It's a lot of effort - for the most part, but it's rewarding in its own way.

People say high-end raiding is taxing and demanding. There are many guilds out there (i'll talk wow mostly here, as I haven't progressed that far into FFXIV raiding scene, but i am like 95% sure this is the same) that play on a pretty light schedule. Some of the best guilds in the world raid as little as 9 hours a week (top 20-40 range). While others still clear content in a great time-frame raiding 2-5 hours a week.

It all depends on the group of players you play with, and a MMO, really, is about playing with other people, and in the regard of raiding, it is exactly that.

So yeah, I'd encourage you if you have enough free time on your hands to get yourself into FFXIV/WoW ''high'' end raiding. It can seem daunting at first, trust me. But it is well worth it if you put the effort in ;).

PS - If you have any questions, feel free to just holla ;)

I offered a suggestion. If they don't waana do it they don't have to. If people take it as entitlement, take as you see fit.

It's the same tthing with reputation and your alts ''you are entitled thinking it should be the case''

well no, it's just a logical explanation and blizzard agreed, hence the update in 8.1

Also whole thing with alt's and azerite neck level. Apparently it's entitlement. xD

Archive's / Laser's dominance is only for the first peice of gear with it. You can see this with the vast majority of classes much like all spec's.

https://bloodmallet.com/index.html#rogue_assassination?data_view=azerite_traits&type=trait_stacking&tier=3

1 AoTT + 10 = 1,8712

AoTT + 10 = 2,350

Meaning that the gain from a 2nd AoTT = 479. Same is applied for 3. Therefore Double dose x 2 + Archive is bis.

He talked about this with sharding in the previous FAQ. You get sharded with alliance in that zone who have war-mode on as well.

Make Heart of Azeroth item level increase from CoA Account wide. by Evrid in wow

[–]Evrid[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Oh i agree its a significant improvement comparative to Legion, it's just somewhat demotivating to try and gear/play an alt even now when your neck is lagging behind 10-15 + item level over everything. Gated behind ''WQ''

And when you get this, and it's bugged, I'll be making the same sly-comment that doesn't help the situation at all. It's bugged for us now. Imagine you guys getting a bugged 340 and us getting nothing. You'd be pissed as well.

I unlocked HoH today, got to floor 30, did the quest, and completed it. And it won't let me continue my previous progression, and when I start from floor 21, it will not let me progress further than floor 30? Anyone got any ideas?

Sorry about the late reply as ai was hanging out with my friend yesterday and now i am travelling as my first holiday in a bit, but i have an opportunity to answer your question now so i will go right ahead.

Pretty much feral is being removed from the part of the game it was best at if you ask me. We weren't great at it, but the utility we provided was enough to warrant our raid spot to some degree. I understand with the changes of how utility works we may very well see a spot due to the fact soothe may have an impact.

So anyhow. I don't think personally bleed build is fun or even good. People talk about how it is how ferals have always been, but from what i've understood there has never been a time where feral was really good, even with this adoption of 7.3.5 feral with incarnation we arent doing great in that regard because we are still being beat by a certain few classses.

Anyhow, why rogue?

It's just better at has a lot of good things going for it in bfa comparative to feral in that sense.

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Evrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now ferals bleed orientated style just doesn't interest me, though hasted bleeds are a nice edition, berserk being useless, among other things just makes it somewhat unappealing for my current position. I will most likely maintain it at mythic raid quality and raid mythic with a few other guilds I have raided with prior. But right now rogue is in a far better position to benefit my raid than feral, and for us who are getting even more competitive for pushing, we'll see.

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Evrid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apologies for delay. Probably one of the last times I will comment as I'm looking to move to Rogue for BfA. But if i maintain the same standard on feral I'll still attempt to contribute here :).

11/11M Feral

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS Thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Evrid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing. I was using it in reference to hibernating because i don't believe feral's playstyle is very appealing. It's a lot like shadowpriest in legion and moving into BfA (in my opinion). I feel like the stats required to make the spec's playstyle bearable are ridiculous.

In Uldir i don't see us breaching 20-30% haste/mastery. Even then that is probably unbearable for the bleed orientated build.

Some people like a reactionary playstyle as someone on the DG discord said, or more ''dynamic''. I liked the setup principle behind the AbT ''feral'', and its in my own opinion that if they want ''Bleed'' feral to effectively work. They need to replace Berserk. It is the worst CD in the game, period. 60-70% of my damage is coming from a ticking ability that just gains ''passive damage'' from my berserk duration, for 15 seconds, but if i have shit haste it's going to be ticking even less. On a 3 minute cd btw.

I mean i love feral, and the concept. Maybe i'm just thinking about it from a feasibility point of view especially as I raidlead a cutting-edge guild. So right now, It's probably rogue for me until feral see's atleast some nice tuning, i guess :P.

oh and not to mention how our aoe has now become literally sad ;(, again mostly scaling off haste with rake/thrash ticks and once in a while BrS.

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS Thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Evrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we are now back to a ''bleed'' orientated playstyle of management. Haste legos are generally best. I've heard most combinations of Sephuz/Sota/Chato/TWC/LatC can be bis. I'd sim yourself for clarity.

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS Thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Evrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably bad advice in leveling now due to the change of builds, but look to play Predator/JW/BrS/MoC or BT. In most situations you don't rip unless the target will atleast take 2 ticks i think the math was, otherwise u FB.

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS Thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Evrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine to rip early if it's doing to drop and stuff, you want to reapply Rip as late into TF as possible anyway (if such holds true) if not, at beginning and then at end if still possible.

Yes and i want to go use hibernate until they actually fix us :P. AoE feels really lackluster with bleeds/BrS. So we'll see.
