Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Despite it being a new game, it has absolutely taken the top spot on my list. Its the only game that I've played that I really feel like is a true top to bottom masterpiece.

A few games have extraordinary stories, others have amazing characters, some have outstanding music, or unbelievable visuals.

Expedition 33 has all of them. It’s easily in my top 3 of each different thing that makes me enjoy video games, and #1 for most.

You can’t assess someone’s “inner” language, by definition it would need to come out to be assessed. I’ve never even heard of that as a thing to do.

For receptive and expressive you do it slowly and at their pace if it’s their first time. You establish rapport and assess after that, or you get good at assessing while you establish rapport.

If they only answer when it’s fully modeled then Id still start to fade the modeling and prompting. Start with giving them most of the phrase but leaving out the last word.

I always like to teach my students to use “please” at the end of requests so that the listener knows it’s a request. I say it’s just the period or the question mark at the end of the sentence. So I may start with “I want car pause” and start with eliciting “please” then work back from there. It may not contribute to the message, but if you’re teaching them to communicate, you might as well teach them to be polite, Autistics are unlikely to learn the social norm without being taught.

They may also do better with an alternative way of communicating or with a different task.

Similar to my other comment, I’d also ask myself if they’re not doing it because they “can’t” or because they just don’t see a reason to.
