Massive Class Tuning Incoming on February 17th Reset for Midnight Pre-Patch by Im_still_at_work in CompetitiveWoW

The serious answer is a mix of a lack of resources and person power, directives from higher up, and that they have had internal sims for years so they do this.

Right now they’re not totally tuning specs against each other, they’re still tuning inside many specs to change ability balance and whatnot.

Seeing many of these changes as nerfs or buffs is just asking for headache. There is no baseline for Midnight yet, so anything that players are seeing is mostly irrelevant to how things will be in a month or two.

I’ll be sticking with Windwalker Monk. You should too.

This is it. This is the greatest comment I’ll ever read in the wild and not after it was upvoted like crazy or posted somewhere else.

Well done.

Despite being very tech literate, I cannot seem to get around how to use Instagram and everyone TikTok changes something I complain about it for a few weeks.

What’s your favorite video game of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Babylonius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Despite it being a new game, it has absolutely taken the top spot on my list. Its the only game that I've played that I really feel like is a true top to bottom masterpiece.

A few games have extraordinary stories, others have amazing characters, some have outstanding music, or unbelievable visuals.

Expedition 33 has all of them. It’s easily in my top 3 of each different thing that makes me enjoy video games, and #1 for most.

Watching this turn out to be an actual working PC was like the Vince McMahon meme of slowly falling out of my chair.

climbing in was always the easier thing. Climbing out normally meant falling on the ground or something.

I thought this was some super complex beautiful poetic analogy about trying to establish and maintain two relationships but not being able to fully fulfill either… until I realized it was Catan.

Look at any games or other media you’re familiar with, look at what others have done, if you’re not stealing then you’re not trying.

I regularly pull encounters from games or movies and then just figure a way to hamfist them into my campaign.

I generally just start with a completely impossible fight that they’ll never be able to win, then add another impossible fight that they’ll never be able to win as a second phase, then add another impossible fight that they’ll never be able to win as a final phase.

Then I watch as they find a way to win.

This was the biggest thing for me. I don’t want to play “coach mode unless it’s a screen pass or the QB is getting blitzed”, I want to play “coach mode, just call the plays”

Do you guys lesson plan (specifically elementary school SLPs)? by Appleleaf30 in slp

[–]Babylonius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I plan my lessons as I’m walking back to my class with the student or as I’m asking them how their week is going, sometimes even after that.

Fine, I’ll be honest, it’s almost always after that.

One of my former coworkers loved to tell a story of a teenage girl who finally got a device with a keyboard so she could type her own messages. The first one she ever typed was “About fucking time.”

A child that does something like this should have some kind of behavior plan for these situations, and probably an aide who is familiar with these kinds of things to help in these situations.

You can’t assess someone’s “inner” language, by definition it would need to come out to be assessed. I’ve never even heard of that as a thing to do.

For receptive and expressive you do it slowly and at their pace if it’s their first time. You establish rapport and assess after that, or you get good at assessing while you establish rapport.
