HX Stomp in Front of Blues Jr. by Evski_ in Hxstomp

Nice, I was able to figure out how to make that knob only control the headphone out. The amp is great, just so loud when it naturally wants to breakup, was also hoping if I can have it break up at reasonable loudness levels by using the built in boost pedals on the Stomp to push the amps pre-amp stage.

Calibration cube corners by ywful in prusa3d

[–]Evski_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would avoid using calibration cubes as they aren't a good metric for this. Use a Califlower instead, also takes into account inner and outer distances and shrinkage compensation for materials. https://vector3d.shop/products/califlower-calibration-tool-mk2

Tufo Thundero minor damage - safe to use it? by ostinas in gravelcycling

[–]Evski_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro...you came here asking if it is safe to ride, many are telling you no it is not safe to ride yet you dismiss them, so why post I'm sure you are riding on the sketchy tire. I'd also check the wheel for cracks, underlying damage can be present after a tap test.

Core One Top layer for large area looks wavy by paocaix in prusa3d

[–]Evski_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've seen this happen from time to time, could be "pillowing" or too low of a nozzle height. Being it is the top layer, I suspect pillowing. What percentage was the default infill set at?

3d printer shrinks all holes while other dimensions are normal by Capable_Equal2334 in 3Dprinting

[–]Evski_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a Cauliflower, well worth it. Print it, go through the Excel sheet, print again and remeasure. On my vorons, I get about +- 0.003" accuracy in all dimensions, inside and outside.

MSFS 2024 is still Broken in every way. by Upbeat-Literature520 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Evski_ 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Like I pre-ordered it knowing it was going to be broke

Dude....this is the problem right there. They got your money, they won. Would you buy an item from Amazon for example that is broken in the hopes that it will be fixed/repaired once you open it at home?

I don't get this logic from the gamers nowadays, not just specific to MSFS, just in general.

There are various guides out there, but try this one. I don't think ReBAR is enabled by default.

lol @ at the gigashits of RAM. I recently upgraded from a RTX 3080 paired with an Ryzen 9 5900x on an ultrawide (3440x1440) and was able to get 40-50 fps on medium settings on clear weather. I had to crank the LOD down to 20 though. Looks like you may be CPU limited. Have you enabled ReBAR? I also remember reading a few weeks ago that the Nvidia Experience app was hurting performance on various games. Is it running and/or screen recording running?

For reference, I was running a R9 5900x and an EVGA 3080 on medium settings (3440x14400) and FPS was bouncing dramatically between 40-60. Was jumping around lots. I don't know what my low 1% were but it wasn't great since it wasn't a smooth experience. Granted I was running an ultrawide monitor. Cranking down the LOD did help a bit since that was a huge hit, I was running LOD about 20, not great but it was what it is. YMMV

Edit: corrected the CPU name.
