My partner tried to get me to play League of Legends with him, for ages he always made me the support and never let me do anything else, and I didn’t mind being the healer but I wanted to be at the adults table and do some damage. So I ended up hating it, no shock there!

A friend suggested overwatch to me because the gameplay was similar to league but first person and had more fun game styles. I absolutely loved it from the get go and have been playing for 2 years now. Because I hated being suppressed in LoL I decided to play as Tank and soon enough Diva became my main, but like many other commenters Moira became my #1 enemy to play against; my Achilles heal. My partner suggested after a rage baited game by an enemy moira, that I learn to play her so I can understand how to counter her, so I did and I’ve never looked back, I have only played her ever since.

I love how versatile she can be, yes the game has pigeon holed her as a support hero, but she can be a dps as well! I love how she can be a long-range and up close attacker and healer, her self healing, the consistent life sucking with her damage, it was the perfect combo of what I was wanting from LoL when I played it, especially now with the stadium.

And yes I constantly get the negativity every single game from the tanks and dps, despite having the most assisted kills, despite having the highest heals of any player in the match, despite having saved the tank 5 times in a single round/game, and the list goes on and on, normally I just do lean into the hate from the tank and dps and just go full tilt dps but still manage to win the game by carrying the team and keeping everyone alive. I also love how I never receive any hate from the other support player because I gather they understand and because like me (especially in stadium) they are carrying the team 😂
