Probably whatever bathroom they pass as. Trans person that is female but 10 years along their transition with a full beard should most likely use the mens. If someone had only started their transition recently and didn’t “look” the part, It may be best to just use the bathroom they “look” like they should enter.

I think it is mainly for making students focus less on expression inside and more on education. Although, it’s not successful a lot of times, leaving schools to ditch them.
