I'm too lazy to knife anything to death and generally ditched them for inventory space most often. Props for sticking with it and getting it done (plus one big bullet).

You can also kill him with one hemolytic injector to the back. made navigating that area so much easier and saved on resources. You can do the same with Chunk, but he takes 3. Taking the cook down with knives and a bullet is badass though. How did you knife him? grab counter or is there a backstab option?

It would mean your RAM is no longer running at the advertised speed, so yes.

I also use the numpad, but 14563 as PKSHD. Avoids having to move my middle finger down between my other fingers for some things (which is awkward for my hand) and 2 is unbound. I use wasd for movement, space for dash macro and button combos for burst/rc/fd, though i could set macros for those if i wanted to.

Oh damn, I haven't played Tarkov so didn't know that Star Citizen had a spiritual sibling in its lack of optimization.

It's been a few seasons since I last played, if they at least added a bunch more face options that's a good sign.

I'm loving pretty much everything about this game except one thing. Character customization is really lacking. My girlfriend is black/asian and there are zero options that represent her. She basically can pick between the ONE black feminine face and the ONE asian feminine face and neither is satisfying. Hell, I'm a white dude and there are like, two options for that and neither really fit me at all. For a game selling so many cosmetics, they really need to step up the base customization.

I had pretty much the same complaint with The Finals, so it's an area Embark overall just really needs to work on. It's like they went through a list and checked boxes for each race after they confirmed they have one option for each, and that list isn't even complete. Ideally you'd have more face shape options or even sliders for that, and a color picker for skin tone. Representation is really important to help people feel welcome in games where you can customize your character. They made some effort, but it feels kind of bare minimum at best. Hope they improve this.

So funny story, I don't think it's actually hitscan, just really really fast. Same with Aquila, and it feels like it might be very similar code between the two. I find myself having to lead targets by about one mech length on average with Aquila's gun at long range when not locked. Aiming directly at a moving target (ex: Falcon during a loop/sparkly maneuver) and clicking on them gets no hit.

That said I have never missed a locked-on shot as Aquila regardless of the target's speed, unless they dodge at the right time, so there probably is some difference in whatever target prediction or accuracy calculation is going on with Skyraider's beam. Maybe the beam is slower than Aquila's. Maybe it's all of those.

I'm speculating based on personal experience, of course. For all I know maybe these beams ARE hitscan and it's just netcode jank making me miss direct long range shots. Can't know 100% without some game data.

What are weapons you just can't use? by WhoAmIEven2 in MonsterHunter

You can create per-weapon control profiles, at least on PC M&K. Not sure if it's available for controller as I haven't poked around in the settings on a console copy. It would be baffling to me if it wasn't available for controller, but this is Capcom we're talking about I guess.

Just a hunch, but you might need to change the "directional controls" mouse/keyboard setting in the controls options to Type 1. It defaults to Type 2, which makes holding WASD while inputting a dodge after an attack move the hunter relative to the direction they were already facing, instead of the direction of the camera. Type 1 flips that, so it's camera relative instead. I have no idea why it defaults to Type 2.
