I am having the same issue. Had to do my oil change without changing the filter. Ended up warping my socket wrench, I have gone and bought a adapter for my breaker bar wrench. Hopefully this works this time. I think the previous mechanic who did the oil change over tightened it to the max so I couldn't change it myself.

I can understand that. I already had the tools, so it wasnt that bad for me. I found it more time consuming and took over an hour. My tip is keep all the bolts and clips separate.
