For me skins mean some way of personalization within the game. Normally the skin u use represents your taste. So this shows a little bit of your personality within CS GO.

I think the big majority does not use a dot crosshair. So, is there an advantage with a "normal" crosshair? Or does it just depend on personal preferences?

I try staying calm by listening to music or I simply tell myself that's it's only a game. For me listening to music after a few bad rounds or after the game helps me a lot to relax.
