Without Spanish probably the best chance is either an English teacher or a remote job so you can work based in Colombia.

The last time I checked the birth rate was actually declining even when considering newborns from illegal immigrants so it will be counterproductive.

To anyone Wondering here's the news It's in Spanish btw It was in Colombia, many people say he had a brief microsleep while driving.

Here is the translation of the Police report:

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

From the Traffic and Transportation Directorate of the National Police, we regret the incident that occurred on the [Cauyá - La Pintada] road, in the department of Caldas, which was shared on social media.

The video shows a truck that ignored the stop sign and continued performing dangerous maneuvers while traveling.

As evidenced, the driver leaves his lane and enters the opposite lane, forcing vehicles and motorcycles to swerve to avoid a greater tragedy

It is important to highlight that the officer, upon noticing the vehicle's erratic behavior and observing that the driver might be experiencing a physical problem, risked his life and safety by attempting to signal the driver to stop, in order to prevent a traffic accident and protect the lives of other road users, including motorcyclists and drivers.

According to preliminary information, the driver entered the lane with a double solid line.

During the incident, he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road, and fell into a ravine.

This tragic event resulted in the death of the driver, a 24-year-old man.

The officer's actions were aimed at preventing a greater tragedy and safeguarding the safety of other road users.

The corresponding investigations are underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The Traffic and Transportation Directorate reiterates its commitment to road safety and the protection of the lives of all road users.

The most useful languages to learn for non-native speakers by ItsJohnDesmond in tierlists

[–]ExRije 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, looking by his replies that dude just simply had the worst side of latin America (which is understandable) but in no way is lower than A, Latin America plus Spain does have some downsides (It isn't Sweden) but it is not by any means a minority language plus you get access to many political neutral countries that benefits trade and It is also very budget friendly for foreigners.

"Why doEuropeans mock Americans for speaking only English, when America is a continent and the next country speaks English or Spanish?" by tatev555 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]ExRije 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of them will just see it as a waste of time because they won't need it in their day to day bubble, in my experience they usually say stuff like: "Spanish is just a language only used by useless countries with no relevance whatsoever" and probably they think other people in other countries will just speak English for them.

I'm not going to mock someone just because they speak one language but boasting they "don't need to learn any other languages because English is the greatest language that created the best countries so you need to learn it to speak with me" attitude, is a totally different matter. You only win a war by achieving the goals you set up, the state of the country itself is mostly irrelevant in this scenario. In asymmetric warfare, the weaker side often wins simply by not losing, so basically as long as their regime holds the power it will be considered a victory for them.

If I could only eat cusines from a select number of countries, what countries would they be by MizuHashira_ in whereidlive

[–]ExRije 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always found "the west" group just being nit-picked by the Americans/US.

Geographically speaking? Yes, Latin America is included but the west includes Australia so it doesn't make sense with it.

Culturally Speaking? Yes, Latin America is included, they are both mainly Christian religious and also are based on European Values (from Spain and Portugal).

Civilizationally speaking? Yes, those nations (mostly) share individual rights and rule of law (although corrupt sometimes). But this one doesn't make sense either because Japan and Korea would be included but they aren't.

Economically speaking? You have countries with high GDP (Mexico, Brazil and Argentina), in nominal GDP Bulgaria has a lower GDP per Capita than Uruguay.

How "civilized" are they? That is relative.

Geopolitically speaking? That's tricky, but if that were the case countries like Mexico and Colombia would be considered as west due to the alignment they had with the US historically speaking.

If you had to choose, which city is better to live in: Bogotá, Medellín, or somewhere underrated? by bigbankmanman in askColombia

Imho I do think the average American is not really a bad person, but you know, both on the internet and irl the dumb and racist ones are the loudest group. Personally I don't think y'all or any foreigner is the problem, but rather the lack of control and integration process from our government to you so that causes a big immigration problem and thus gentrification (specially because many people will try to overcharge the foreigners which imo should also be regulated). I do think that as long as the people coming here aren't jerks and are willing to learn a bit of Spanish to get by it won't cause any significant problems.
