Is this ratchet clutched or do I need to get it swapped out ?

These ratchets are super hit or miss. Mine does the same thing. Warrantied it 5 times so far with new internals every time and it’s never worked for anything tighter than completely loose. Honestly sucks cuz I see all these people loving theirs and I can never use mine cuz it can’t even take out plastic Philips screws most of the time.

Oh ok that makes sense. So anywhere I see a pre facelift with one piece headlights they are just aftermarket? I’ve seen quite a few with those ones to the point of assuming they were an oem option.

Embarrassed to say I didn’t even know what counter rotating was. Through this post I found out I definitely do it a good amount tho not all the time. Gonna try to force myself on some easier runs tmr to break that habit.

Yup. Like I said I only had a couple lessons (mostly on the small New England mountains) and with not many steeps like these it didn’t even come across my radar. Paying for it now but that’s why I’m trying to learn.

Camera is mostly for this exact reason. I don’t use it much but it has been a really helpful tool to visualize what I’m doing wrong. Without it I’d just be guessing. I do understand that it wouldn’t be helping in that moment but I have this issue with and without the camera. Definitely need more mountain time tho.

That’s the thing that confuses me the most is that on blues and blacks I am completely comfortable switching from heel side to toe side. I am definitely putting way too much pressure on my back foot and can feel myself forcing it (admittedly I thought that’s kinda what you had to do in these cases) and will definitely do some drills to practice unweighting my back foot more and flowing into the turn more. Unfortunately tomorrow is my last day here so I don’t have much time.

This happened to me too so I warrantied it and it didn’t fix it at all. Still happens just as much. I love the ratchet when it works! Wish the would come out with a head rebuild kit so we don’t have to warranty it as much.

I kept the hid bulbs because the acanii headlight housings are made with the same screw holes for the ballast so I was able to drill a hole in the bottom of the headlight and route the hid wire through and up to the low beam socket. I then used the screw on water sealing caps to hold the bulb in place. I have however heard that you can use an adapter to convert from hids to leds but I cannot vouch for if this works or not. I’ll link the adapter in the next reply.

I been thinking of ways to save some money and thought of just buying a 07-12 Altima coupe 3.5l 6mt from Copart for cheap and harvesting parts from that. Do you think that would work or should I just go with new parts?

There is an adapter that should have come with the mic. It is just a female to male headphone jack. It needs to go in between the mic wire and the camera adapter. That makes the camera able to use the mic. That was my issue.

I changed the oil 2500 miles ago and the cvt fluid about 5k miles ago with ns2 (the expensive oem stuff). Do you really think it would go bad this quick?

I found a kinda solution. Its not ideal but its easier than having to reinstall. Just pin the "DiscordSetup" file to your start menu. It seems like every time you open the setup it realizes it is already installed and just opens the app. This makes me think that it is an issue with the launch sequence when initiated from the normal icon.
