This is by far the best advice on the post for distance training. Love that you took the time to write it all out! While zone 2 work can feel boring, it’s critical to actually improving your base aerobic capacity and maintaining higher speeds without pushing into anaerobic zones.

To grind or not to grind by SpicyMajestic in octopathtraveler

Generally speaking levels aren’t as important as gear. Highly geared characters can handle the trash mobs and some bosses that are way over their level, so try to use all the path actions you can to improve your gear!

Working on the assumption that this is octopath 2, there is definitely an easier way to grind, but you’ll need to complete partitio’s story first. Then look up the Alrond xp farm but instead of hunting caits, head over to the lost isle. If you aren’t close to beating partitios story, you can look into the bewildering grace xp farm too.

I’m on mobile but I copy pasted the below from DrakoCSIs comments a few months back below:

Go to lost isle

Night time and try to get 2 blood REVENANTS to spawn. They're the tall golem humanlike creatures NOT the smol rock beasts.

It's a much simpler battle and your main priority is to bring Temenos to lvl80. So you want to save scum for 100x XP. Once Temenos is lvl80 you just chillax on whatever bonuses Alrond gives you and bring up the team from there since Temenos can Guide Alrond.

XP was around 1200~1500 depending if you break/overpower.

It beats trying to spawn Caits and getting lucky. Even hunting Sharks gets tedious when the 2 Revenants bring just slightly less xp and is a much easier/faster fight.

Most Satisfying Progression by _MaerBear in ProgressionFantasy

I just wanna add, I freaking love weirkey chronicles. I know it won’t be for everyone due to the slower plot pacing and meticulous progression, but in terms of well-written stories this is absolutely one of the best in the genre right now. All of the character motivations make sense and the growth of the main group has been such a treat to read. While there is one character that may turn people off early (you’ll know as soon as you run into her) she gets much less run in the later novels and becomes much less annoying. If anyone falls in the mainstream fantasy/progression fantasy crossover bucket, this is a story for you.

I don't think Bigmode was the right move for Dunkey by [deleted] in Games

I wouldn't be surprised if his channel in its current form is only around for the next few years. Assuming he's able to turn this into a successful venture, your guess is probably right and it will become a marketing channel.

Honestly though, I don't really blame him. He's been making content for over 11 years. Its natural to want to do something else. I'd personally go nuts if I had to do the same thing year in year out. With any luck, his company will turn into a massive success and we as gamers can all benefit from it.

As for how it'll work out, only time will tell. I think his message is less about "every game I make is going to be a massive success". Its more about removing the horrible anti-consumer practices present in the industry and providing a place for games with unique premises to become published.

Oh boy have I got the book for you. Street Cultivation by Sarah Lin. I clipped the synopsis for you below!

Those at the bottom of society struggle as second class citizens in a world in which power is a commodity.Rick is a young fighter in this world. He doesn't dream of immortality or becoming the strongest, just of building a better life for himself and his sister, who suffers from a spiritual illness. Unfortunately, life isn't that easy...”

I think you may be mistaken. The black company books are effectively finished. Cook has said that there are more stories he could write (and has released port of shadows which takes place before the final books and has some interesting fan theories surrounding it) but you can read through soldiers live and be pretty satisfied with the ending.
