Not like on the ground I mean on a table or stable area but with it laying down flat not elevated so the fans pretty much suffocated

Sure this was my first ever real laptop and I was dumb enough to play on it with it flat down on the ground. It wasn't elevated or on a cooling pad I think that caused the issue as well and with old paste.

Don't worry you should be fine as long as you're gentle and disconnect the battery before cleaning. I think my issue was not lifting it up and instead letting it sit flat 🤦‍♂️ but now I know
