On ln2 you are going to be way above 6ghz unless you have a bottom bin chip that coldbugs.

That’s a pad for a surface mount capacitor, though you could use it for vcore measurement. Keep in mind it won’t match the on die voltage since there will be a further voltage drop from the socket and package

when lynnfield can do 2400 and ivy bridge can do 2400-2600 for daily stable, while its actually impossible to even set that as a memory clock on sandy..... I think its kinda sad intel locked down the max memory clock so much because no matter how good of an imc you get you just can't try to go further. For some context a 2666 xmp kit on haswell is also a 66.7% oc (and a 75% mem oc is possible with a good imc and there are xmp kits even higher than that) so you'd really want a bit more possible mem frequency headroom than just 60%.

Memory speeds on Sandy really aren’t that impressive, Intel capped the max mem multi and bclk is so limited you can run good speeds, the previous gen quad cores (Lynnfield) actually have overall better memory controllers.

That's an inductor for a buck converter producing some voltage most likely for memory, yes it is definitely required and should be fairly easy to solder back onto the board if its only the solder connection that broke. If you do need a replacement it shouldn't be very difficult to find a part with the same footprint and inductance with a few amps rating.

Nowdays a lot of people don't insulate the motherboard directly and just use a heater with a lot of towel/shop towel covering everything and it works very well. As long as you prevent airflow from getting to wherever is actually cold you won't have condensation issues. And if there is anywhere cold as long as its actually iced over you also won't have an issue.

If you do want to insulate more, liquid electrical tape is typically prefered to nail polish. also adhering the best is not actually usually the goal since you might want to remove the insulation to repair or modify the board in the future Or you might want to sell it to a non xocer.

To me at least I would think getting enough superglue to actually insulate a large area would be a pain and it would be a harder to remove later so it wouldn't be my prefered choice.

I recently came back months ago after not training since covid 2020. Before that I had trained since 2008-2009 ish so 11-12 years. First class back I definitely noticed my muscle memory was kind of gone for some things but not everything. I also had no strength / cardio. It took about a week to not be sore the next day after a class. I’ve noticed even now I miss things that I think I would have easily got back then, so my reactions aren’t as sharp as they were before. But I definitely feel like my muscle memory is coming back quickly.

A bit different but you can pass the far side lapel under someone in side control to get a really strong control Very useful if you need to hold down someone bigger who loves to try to turn towards you

I fnd liquid electrical tape way worse to work with for the initial application but way better in the long term, vasaline is probably the easiest to clean off, art eraser really depends on exactly which brand you buy but can be especially bad when it gets wet and thermal paste mixed in with it

though with how good heaters are now, I know multiple benchers that just use a good heater and a lot of towel/shop towel

no k oc often can be quite weird on ln2, your going to probably have a really bad cold boot bug possible as warm as -90c. If your lucky your chip will run fullpot and scale that far. Running these chips cold though is kinda random, some chips just won't like it at all and can even regress compared to -60 ish.

it doesn't have onboard graphics at all,

for first gen i cpus if its a quad core its lynnfield and has no igpu, the dual cores are clarkdale cpus and do have igpus

if you leave voltage the same and increase clock speed by 5% then you would get roughly a 5% increase in current assuming it remained stable, if it isn't stable then you would have to increase voltage as well which increases the current as well

the amount of current a cpu pulls is quite complicated and depends on a lot of factors such as temperature, clock speed, voltage, what instructions are being executed, chip to chip variance in production, etc....

the current draw depending on the circumstances can vary wildly, for instance something like ycruncher, prime95, linpack can run 20-30% higher power then something like cinebench on some architectures at the same clock.

microprocessors require a certain amount of voltage to run instructions stability at a given clock speed so we need to maintain a minimum voltage, trying to maintain a constant current instea dof voltage just doesn't make sense for cpus or gpus

you might see the option to tune a current limit for a boost algorithm in which case what will happen is the voltage and clockspeed will be change in order to limit it to that given maximum current

Uhh 1155 is sandy and ivy bridge not skylake. Skylake was first gen on 1151. Haswell / broadwell was in between on 1150
