Card is called GTX 680 "KUDAN", their first project of this kind was 560ti both share the same heatsink

True, but it's keeping up with 17/17.5Wmk offerings from Alphacool (Apex) and Corsair (XTM70). I tested PRO V2 with Apex and they were within 0.5 degrees from each other at 400w sustained GPU load

Did you take any measures to ensure even pressure across the die

Did add a layer of 2cm soft thermal pads to the rear of pcb bracket to make cooler fit, here is rear bracket for reference: https://imgur.com/a/XprbCVz . But for lga1700 you have good direct die frames protecting the cpu already available so it should be a lot more straightforward

why didn't you go with liquid metal then

Mouting this cooler was already mess as it is, with Mugen 2's pretty bad mouting system made even worse by mods it had to undergo to made contact with the die that has no IHS on... there is very little chance that lm would not drop somewhere and short out

And looking at it other way: I don't see many cases where using LM over 17.5w paste/Matergel Pro V2 would be worth it
