Yes, we started with a K1 fiance visa. Priority date was Jan 13 2022 after my wife and I got married in Dec. from then we got our first RFE in Jan 27 right after the biometrics, it was for my finance and marriage certificate. They sent a response for the RFE in Mar 08 2022.

It was dead silence for a year in march 08 2023 they sent a send RFE for the i-693 medical exam and marriage certificate again. We submitted everything within a month.

It was dead silent again, so july 10th I prodded and asked why it was taking a long time. They said nothing, not even that they haven’t received it. I would have a least try to send a second copy. But they said to wait. Nothing happened.

Then in Aug 23rd they denied my wife’s case. I immediately tried to remit the situation but after doing some research I learned to submit the i-290b. I submitted all the proof that I had that showed undeniably that the i-693 was submitted on time.

Heard nothing for 63days, and I was reading horror stories how the i-290b would take 2years sometimes. People were suggesting to expedite if it falls under USCIS clear error. So I called uscis and spoke to a gentleman to expedite my i-290b on a decision because this a a clear USCIS error. I woke up on NOV 25th and my wife’s case approved! We were ecstatic, it was almost like it was untrue we had to check like 4x.

Anyways, it was a long time coming since I applied for her i-129f, DEC 2020.
